Here's the dirty little secret: the creep will move on to likely re-offend elsewhere; the teachers' unions forbid disclosure of many criminal offenses, especially sexual, to hiring personnel in other districts, just like the Catholic church. It's an epidemic and it's only going to get worse. The tyranny of Soviet-style public-"education" unions will never be broken as long as their victims (children, parents, taxpayers, all of society) remain in ignorance.

The first thing I thought when I read this was...here we go again, just like the catholic church. These disgraceful unions have morphed into a cancerous entity, in the education field as you noted, but consider the auto industry, Detroit, where unions had automakers paying people $45/hr to stand by a conveyor belt and put a nut on a bolt. People whine about corporate greed..how about union greed and corruption? How about ACORN corruption and greed? How about our GOVERNMENT from city to county to state to national, so polluted with greed and corruption. Sickening.

Former teacher? He's only a former because he was caught! And we just suppose this was his first encounter? Why? Because he says so? What a creep. 47 years old with a 16 year old. What's with the only 6 months in jail for a felony sex offense with a minor? Once again, MN shows where their priorities lie in the justice system. This is just a minor thing, it was only sex after all. Pretty sick.

I thought for sure it was a female teacher considering the hand slap given. Funny how someone who fudges on their taxes can get 2-5 years but a 50 year old man bangs an underage girl like a screen door in a hurricane and he will be out in a few months. Pathetic
