Review: Styx Unlimited Tattoo Emporium

Went in to have my first tattoo done by Styx Unlimeted Tattoo Emporium, but Jesse did the Tat. I had to wait around about 1 hour to get it done by appointment the tattoo sucks. Now I have to get a cover up tattoo. BLACK MOON TATTOOS in Illinois did the cover up for me and it was Awesome. Highly Recommend Black Moon!!!!

Styx is a Good Artist on a good day, but I know some people that have Tattoo,s from him not a good day. Jesse sucks only good at tribal and flowers He thinks he is an artist what a joke who can't do tribal and flowers. I come to Springfield Illinois for the Springfield Mile twice a year and Kevin from Black Moon gets me in anytime and his work is Awesome. You want a good tattoo BLACK MOON TATTOOS is the place to go. Word travels fast Styx!!! Cam does not know what's up when it comes to running a Tattoo shop get real and go to BLACK MOON TATTOOS Springfield finest Artist.

even the artist voted best in the world had his day, so does EVERY artist in this dramatic town, illinois!! kameron not (cam), doesnt run my shop!I tell him how to run MY SHOP! i compete against artist nation wide, and always come home with arm loads of awards! the judges know alittle more than you im sure! come see me next time you have ignorant comments to say!!

I have had 2 tattoos done at STYX UNLIMITED EMPORIUM and they are both outstanding!! They were both done by Jesse. He does more than flowers and tribal.
I also have 2 other tattoos by different artists in different towns that Jesse did touch up work on. They are OUTSTANDING also. I'm returning to STYX (a shop in compliance w/ the Dept of Public Health) to continue work on my back.
I can't comment on STYX but his work looks great.

Styx,You did all my tattoos cept one and BM tattoo did that. I was not impressed and yours were always perfect. You did my tats at all differant places (Jimmys,Annuals,Blomington)and I never had a complaint.To prove this I had you ink my wife and daughter. This takes a level of trust that is hard to find. I had styx do a traditional style owl on my lower abdomen, this was my 8th tattoo but 1st one at Styx Tattoo Emporium, I was IMPRESSED! Styx is VERY professional and extremely talented, just look at his portfolio!! Everyone loooves my owl including me, and it was a pleasure getting tattooed by him. He is truly one of the best, my next tattoo will be done by him. and the one after that. Also, idiots, Kam is awesome! He's the nicest guy I've ever been pierced by (I have 8) and very professional and considerate. He makes sure you are comfortable and doing alright through the whole procecdure... Styx does this as well, very very great talented people.

I've had four tattoos and one piercing done at Styx Unlimited. I have always been extremely happy with all of the work I had done. Two of my tattoos were Styx himself, and two were from Jesse. Although I personally preferred Jesse (only because of his attitude and willingness to open up and talk), I will definitely go back for more. Kam did a wonderful job on my piercing and they always make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door.

I would like to let all the ignorant people talking crap about STYX, that it is their fault the tattoo's turned out the way they did. I have two Tattoo's from STYX himself and it is assume. STYX is very talented because the wizard I got on my leg was right out of the mans head. This happened because a past scheduler made a mistake and told Styx that I wanted midevil work. However, when I arrived for my appointment I told Styx that I wanted mythical. Therefore, Styx had to rethink on the spot and it is the best Tattoo I have. And I will be getting alot more Tattoo's from Styx

I got a tattoo from there about four months ago. I walked in and made an appointment for the next day. When I came back I got prompt attention and they made sure I got what I wanted with a decent price.

The only thing I have as a negative on them is the white and green ink used on my tattoo has almost faded half of what it was, so I'll have to get it touched up.

I've had my first two tats done at Styx's. The first by his girlfriend/apprentice with him watching her and it turned out just like I wanted. The second we went to the 2009 Inkin Lincoln Tattoo show in March. After 5 hours in the chair it turned out even better that I thought it would. It ended up winning tattoo of the day, and second place in the large size men's color catagory. He left that show with 9 trophies as I recall. Seven months later is still looks great. He is now my exclusive artist. He may not talk much during the work, but thats because he is working hard to make it look as best as possible. If you dont like him, thats fine. Dont talk trash, it makes you look like a jacka**. GO STYX!

If a man is not ready to face serious infection for the cause of peace then he is not man enough to get a cool tattoo. Tattoos are for peace.
