$1.4 billion budget faceoff shapes up in Springfield

Gov. Rod Blagojevich made good Wednesday on his threat to enact major state budget cuts, vetoing $1.4 billion and daring House Democrats to "stop playing games," approve more money and avoid election-year pain.

As a Senior Citizen, I can ride metra and pace for free. I would much rather pay for these rides and have the money go to austic children and for health care. Seniors do appreciate the free rides, but not at the expense of taking help from those that cannot help themselves. If the governor had an autistic child, I wonder what cuts he would make then?

What is wrong with our governor? Does he think before he acts - cutting aid to social services for autistic children and health care! To think I voted for him. How sorry I am now!! We need a governor that cares for the people of this state.
