Did Trooper Turn Around?

For you police experts out there, if she did turn around to pursue a car, wouldn't she have called in to dispatch first? Isn't that protocol? After 6 years as a trooper, I doubt she made such a mistake.

Due to the time of this accident and place, my bet is she was tired and either fell asleep at the wheel or was trying to avoid the local wildlife. I find it very strange that the State Police can't solve this and are asking for help. That makes me believe they know more then they are letting on, or are just clueless and embarrassed by this "accident".

Either way, I think she needs to be charged with failure to keep right at least. She could have killed someone.

They won't charge her with anything. She's in a grave!

You're right Eddie. I meant no disrespect. If you hit a deer - it's your fault if you go off the road (failure to keep right) while swerving to miss it. Heaven forbid if when you swerve some random person is walking up the road and you hit them, then you might get charged with manslaughter.

No it's not protocol, she could turn around then have called out on the radio. According to the gps system in the troop vehicle she did turn around. The investigation continues and any witnesses are asked to come forward to help with the investigation. Why are you turning this into something else.

Chances are they won't charge a deceased person.

Because some people just don't have respect for the recently deceased or their family. And they have all the "answers" just like many of the people on topix.

They should have cameras on on police cars, so it would save time on long investigations, plus it might get the RPD to act more professionally knowing they are on camera.

Any Troopers should be using big suv's as chase cars.

Then I say that's your problem, that trooper never did anything to you so you are basing your accusations and story on hte and not the facts. Way to go genius.

Brain turd your mad about billboards now you want police agencies to spend taxpayer dollars on cameras for the patrol vehicles.
