Lewis is good people and a good officer. Don't have a bad word to say about him.

Memory serves me correct he did kill a man a few years back and had the county in a big lawsuit similar to what we have now ..

Reading many of the posts on Topix, I have to doubt the character of anyone the Topix crowd finds suitable. I find this thread interesting because I know Carrick is a class act. Wouldn't want him mad at me though. LOL My question is why would he want the job? The first drug arrest around here and your automatically out to get the little man.

Generally used to refer to someone who can handle themselves in a professional, intelligent manner in less than desirable circumstances. Would seem to be a necessary prerequisite quality for the position. I find it a bit contradictory that the Topix trolls (your description) would find someone of his character a good candidate. I think he would make an excellent candidate when Sheriff Shoupe decides the screwball druggies here are no longer worth his efforts. And that's what makes me curious as to why Lewis would want the job. Has he expressed and interest or is this simply conjecture from the rumor mill?
