I believe you meant to say the gun "fell" out, not "feel" out

My son grew up with the husband in this incident. I, like all in the surrounding neighborhood know the family and love them as among the finest people you would ever want to meet. How dare anyone insinuate that this tragedy is anything more than what it is - a horrible accident, as we knoe the investigation will prove. Instead of letting the floodgates loose with a bunch of 'what ifs', rest assured that the family will be suffering through enough of that on their own. I challenge all - rather than jump to conclusions or second guess, offer a prayer for this remarkable family. We are all hurting from the loss.

why must we learn the hard way? what were they doing driving around with an unsecured weapon? My prayers go out to the family.I have to say it though, it all could have been avoided with a few safety measures that would only take a few minutes.ITS WORTH IT !!!!!

I don't see where anyone was insinuating anything about this. It was an accident but I agree with the guy on the video. Guns DO NOT go off when dropped except in unusual circumstances.

And you say "how Dare Anyone" , man you need to get a grip on reality. The fact is that most firearms won't discharge when dropped but when someone fires a gun accidentally the first thing they usually say is " i dropped the gun and it went off" which is bull.

i know the persons in this story and i know that this was an accident the man is such a sweet heart and so was his wife the most cutest couple together. its the saddest situation i have ever seen. but for you to say that guns don't go off when dropped is a bunch of bull. there are always freak accidents that happen and you never know what will happen. Like in this situation it was a freak accident. You can't predict life and what is going to happen.

Guns can go off by just being dropped. With a revolver, the firing pin sits right on the bullet.
Very sad and so tragic! I wish the family members and friends love and comfort.

How the heck does a revolver go off accidentally? It has to be "cocked" before the hammer will release and hit the firing pin. In double action, you can just pull the trigger, but that is not very possible while falling out of the door.

molly we love you and will miss you dearly. Rich you are in our prayers. just keep your head up and know you will see her again someday! This was a freak accident. nothing intentional! so maybe some people have to much time on their hands if they are going to sit and point fingers towards the husband.. put yourself in their situation and think about it.. you want people to think of you like that?? didnt think so! if you have nothing good to say.. dont say it at all!

yes this is a sad event. I agree that guns dont kill people, people kill people. Even if the gun fell out on the ground & even if the gun accidently fired when it hit the ground. WHAT THE HELL WAS A ROUND DOING IN THE CHAMBER????? That is rule #1 in hunter safety & concealed weapon classes. It is also the law i believe. Was one of the first things my father taught me about guns. I feel sorry for the family & him. I hope he can someday forgive himself for his mistake. just dont blame the gun!!!!!

I've had my Ruger single six since the mid 60's and it has a safety position to prevent firing if dropped. The hammer has a three click system. The first short click locks the hammer away from the firing pin so it can't fire if hit or dropped.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Gemini

Mercury will backtrack through your finances over the next few weeks, which isn't a very seasonal thought if you're already well aware that you've overspent this month. Be prepared to do some juggling or to seek expert advice if you're worried about how you're going to cope. You may be kept busy handling inheritance, tax or insurance matters, preparing investment analysis, and allocating funds for the repayment or collection of debts.
