Whiteville or Tabor City are the places to be. Everyone move while there is still time. Save the women and children( and of course the pets ) not necessarily in that order. Next year should be free parking since the island will be underwater. Surf zone starts at the Bridgetender down to Bradley Creek.

More AGW alarmist crap for the run-up to the propaganda production at Copenhagen [and timed precisely for that reason alone]. However, this piece is directly contradicted by the facts - something of which the AGW alarmists are ignorant.

Sea level rise has been essentially flat for the last almost 4 years as per this graph from the Jason satellite:
http://wattsupwiththat.files.wordpress.com/20...
Prior to the latest period, sea level rise during the 20th century has varied from about 3-3.5 mm per year - i.e. no increase in sea level rise.

Meanwhile, the tidal gauges in the NC area also directly contradict the claims of an accelerated sea level rise:

When are you lemmings who have swallowed every alarmist prediction of future catastrophe going to admit that no one has any idea and these speculations are based on absolutely nothing?

There are bound to be alarmists stories from around the globe, mainly from people who don't know what's going on and are just scared by the garbage they're hearing.
They're the people who're making this an easy task for the likes of Fat Al and his cronies to make a killing in carbon trading.

The Maldives and Tuvalu are trying to cash in on the scam, along with any third world country that has sense enough to blame western society for its emissions.

This flawed science is going to cost us big time in the short term and the only way to mitigate that cost, is to start telling the world that the predictions are nothing more than guesswork based on computer models programmed by humans.

More research and more evidence is necessary before telling the world that the west is to blame for all the problems that they had before Glowbull Whining was ever dreamed of.
If this continues, the west will soon be begging for help from what were once third world countries.

Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud

Dr. Mörner is the head of the Paleogeophysics and Geodynamics department at Stockholm University in Sweden.

He is past president of the INQUA Commission on Sea Level Changes and Coastal Evolution,

and leader of the Maldives Sea Level Project.

Dr. Mörner has been studying the sea level and its effects on coastal areas for some 35 years.

"Dr. Mörner is the head of the Paleogeophysics and Geodynamics department at Stockholm University in Sweden."
Should read:
Dr. Mörner is the former head of the Paleogeophysics and Geodynamics department at Stockholm University in Sweden.
Also, "The unit was closed down in April 2005 after Prof. Nils-Axel Mörner’s retirement."

Here in daytona we have a very flat beach. It was used for setting speed records before the Bonneville salt flats. It doesn't take much of a rise in tide to gobble up 20 - 40 feet of beach.
I'll let you know when the ocean begins to rise.
Don't hold your breath.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aries

Financial muddles are more than likely today so be careful if you're going shopping. You might be accidentally short-changed or there could be a misunderstanding about how much something costs. This isn't a good day to lend friends anything valuable in case they don't return it or they damage it in some way. Better safe than sorry.
