1 So he lied to all of his accounts that he was an licensed security company.He didn't keep proper records.Hired unlicensed guards and gets a $37k fine. Seems to me if he was such a upstanding person in the community he would've had the license all along.I wonder if anything else was done.Anything else hidden.Wonder why the clients didn't fire him."Must Be Political" |

from the article:
...also drew public attention when Lamison ejected filmmaker Michael Moore from the Sagaponack property. Ejected Michael Moore? I don't think anyone could eject that fat-ass! |
||||
Sounds like he is doing a bang up job. Can he please eject Billy Joel too? |

The entire licensing process is a total shakedown and every state and local office that issues licenses should be closed. Remember a few short years back when a drivers license was 4 dollars for 4 years. I am not talking 40 years ago this was in the mid 80's. Now it is issued for 8 years and costs over one hundred dollars to pay for the endless spend thrift ways of the elected whores. By the way I recall that all police officers were supposed to be exempt from the license process as their training and job experience outweighs the scam process security officers have to go through to justify the shake down fee.

Lamison filed a sworn notarized application to "replace windows" at his 82 Miller Road investment property. The Building Inspector issued a stop work order after an on-site inspection found that the roof was removed, second story framing started,rear addition started, basement wall and new entry started and much more. Lamison underpaid his permit fee and lied about the work to be done.
Lamison has more investment properties and they should be reviewed to see if he has lied before. He is a police officer and should understand the law. |

Tom Spota has already mounted his White Horse and has last been seen on the LIE riding out to Southampton to take charge of the investigation and bring the guilty to justice.
Hmmm, does Dormer still have his PI license? Maybe he can pick up some loose change if Prime Time loses their clients - scandal, and all that stuff. Maybe Tom has some friends who can be available to take over the reins....hmmmmm. Reminds me of my days in the DA office. We had some vending machines that were very profitable for a retired police lieutenant. He was going to sell his spot and there was some hint that the new buyer was connect to OC. An anonymous call came into the office stating that. Just happened that one of our more fragile detectives took the call. He reported the call to the boss and the former LT couldn't sell the spot. He lost it all. And guess who did the guys a BIG FAVOR by finding another company to fill the spot? The detective who made the phone call. He was so upset that his motives were questioned.. He owned the new vending machines. Is history repeating itself? |

It is interesting that Lamison has documented financial ties to the Southamton Village Mayor Mark Eply's father in law George Bennedict.( see the Spitzer report on the Seafield Center). It is also interesting that the Suffolk D.A. Tom Spota is the former Southampton Village PBA attorny. It is also interesting that P.O. Brad smith Jr. resigned his position as a Southampton Village Police officer for "personal reasons" the day of Spota's big drug raid on the Indian Reservation.

I think BILL is right about the qualification process. Last I looked they don't have to attend a school to be certified, but their credentials have to be on file somewhere. I suppose there is most likely other issues that have to be dealt with. I don't want to bring more grief to a cop I don't know and don't know if he is one of the bad guys, or just a guy trying to make a living. One thing I will say is he should NOT have done his business ANYWHERE in Suffolk County. It just opens the door for allegations of corruption that is disguised as a security company. Not smart. |

When I had my PI license all I had to do was send in a check every two years for $500.00 and get a bonding that cost me a hundred or so. Sign on the dotted line and that was it. why the hell didn't this guy do that is a mystery to me.
A PI has a set time after the license expires to renew the license. If you don't send it the check and you want your license back you have to take the test again and go thru the pain in the ass of having an investigation done again. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of attorneys in NYs that have their licenses lapsed for not paying the fee - a fee I believe is less than what a security company has to pay. Sooner or later they have to cough up and I am sure they don't have to go through the filing process with the State and the appellate courts in the jurisdiction they have to register with. No, my friend Bill - the law only applies to those who don't have the juice to avoid it. |

If Ira Rennert only knew that about half of those security guards that Lamison passed off as armed off duty law enforcement were actually unarmed Southampton public school employees and the like, he would probably hire a more honest person to protect him. What a scam!
