Both sets of fools are into conspiracies, villains, and boogy men to blame. Both sets of fools want to go backward to some non existent state of natural eden, because you can't cope with the changes around you. Both groups eschew fact based reality for thier selective truth, and therefore are incapable of dealing with complex problems, and are prey to simplistic ideological fantasies.
Like the nimby luddites, you wouldn't know a free market principle or idea, if it hit you in the head. And, both sides, for the most part, seem to have avoided really hard classes involving much math or science.
Like the nimby luddites in their elitism, you feel a sense of entitlement or priviliege, only you are afraid of people who are willing to sacrifice and work harder than you do, especially if they're not white.
And, of course, the nimby luddites, just like you, need someone else to blame for the things you can't seem to control, real or percieved.
You blame the "illegals" or "liberals" or "Soros", they blame "Bush" or "big corporations" or "oil companies". But, like them, you are never responsible for creating the conditions around you. That, of course, would be too much work, and take too much responsibility, and take way too much objectivity, insight, emphathy, or compassion?
Or, as I like to call it, in reading these really pathetically ignorant extreme's in today's high quality public discourse: a debate between tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber, on how much more stupid we can possibly be!
