The 25-year-old man suspected of critically beating a man Thursday in Forbestown was formally arraigned on felony assault and other charges Monday at Butte County Superior Court.

This is going to boil down to a case of where the DA verses the citizens of Forbstown and Joe may just be washed out to sea. It seems to appear this news article was drafted by the DA's office not the ER's, as a political dog and pony show. What will people think if they find out the "victim" has had more trouble with the law other than his citizenship issue? While on the other hand even the cleanliness of Joes underwear has been published.

Are you saying paralysis and brain damage for Lopez? How recent is your information? I am not sure these two nuckleheads have a dime in their name. Therefore, either way we are now responsible for these low life thugs. Joe will never see the light of day after the DA is done with him. I sure hope I am called to serve on this jury duty. I am still not sure why you rednecks continue to support Joe as he clearly has his own criminal background. The only reward the perpetrator is going to get is the one from his cell mate at night.

The extent of his injuries was revealed for the first time in court Monday, when Judge Robert A. Glusman, in reading the formal complaint, noted Lopez suffered brain damage and paralysis from the assault. "

Sounds like a pretty horrific beating.
