Don't know if it hit the patch, and the restaurant is not yet on Facebook, but OF's new eatery on 162nd & Cicero is fantastic! Fresh, high quality food, reasonable prices and great service. Give it a try ....... you won't be sorry !

We checked it out last week, just grabbed a few dogs and burgers. Neither impressed, there are many better options in the area for those two items. The Nathan's dog has nothing on a Vienna, it was just plain salty beefy flavor, little else stood out. The burgers had a strange aftertaste, very dry, and reminded me of some prefab patties I got over at GFS before. I'm not going to swear it off already though. I am still looking foward to trying their Italian Beef.
Oh, I think the Fries are very good though, and I like they put them in a styrofoam container to carryout, so they are actually hot when you get them home.(Although I guess its not really going green)
Gotta admit, I thought it would skew a little closer towards being like a Portillos from what I was reading/hearing prior to the opening.
Hope they can stick it out, and kick the food up a notch or two. We need some more options in OF. at least the LES brothers are seeing a chance worth taking in our city.

Still working out the kinks maybe I don't know. My husband liked the burger and I was impressed with the quality of the chicken sandwich - pretty fresh compared to Portillo's and I love their char broiled chicken. Just my thoughts ....

Most restaurants - or any retail oriented business - need a couple months to work out the kinks. Nice of you to be so optimistic though as to it's future. It's been open what, a couple weeks? Have you even eaten there ?

Thanks for the follow-up RMQuinn. I guess the chicken is on my list for the next time we visit.
I hope they stick around and round out the menu abit. The south end of Oak Forest really needs some strong businesses, and more dining options.(Although we need more business diversity as a city)

I've been there with my family several times since they opened and although it may have been slow service at the beginning, the food was very good. We have tried almost everything on the menu and we were all very happy with it.
I wish them luck and hope they will survive in this economy. The people who work there are very nice and attentive too!
I say "Good Luck To You Luckys"!!

Good luck making a left turn out of Lucky's. It is hard to see cars coming over that hill and the speed limit is 45 mph. How did the city let that happen?

Will not be going back! Plus they do not have many options! Awesome choice Oak Forest! Boo!

How did the city let that happen? 162nd St. has been there for years and very few accidents. If you are old enough to have a drivers license, and can't make a left turn, shame on you, learn how to drive.

I have eaten at this place a few times, living right down the street. I have had the burger and it's not great (dry, no flavor, which can change if they read reviews). I have had the chicken sandwich, also, and I like it alot. I love Nathan's hotdogs, so of course I like those. My fiance says their beef sandwich is great. He also says their chili is pretty good. I also had their buffalo chicken salad, which was good, but a little pricey for the amount you get. Don't know if their ranch dressing is homemade, but it is good. Definitely would eat there again, would try the burger again, if they did something different with it.

I went there today and overall I was happy with the place. I got a burger, onion rings, and the soup of the day. It all tasted good to me. I ate inside and I was impressed at the job that was done with the place. They turned an empty eye sore into a very attractive establishment. The service was good. I really have no complaints about my visit. I was able to drive in and drive out without any issues at all. As an O.F. resident, I want this place to do good and prosper. I encourage all O.F. residents to at least give Lucky's a fair shot because they deserve it.

Just got home from eating there! The place is really quite good! Found the food well- prepared, certainly hot, and the service friendly and efficient. My chicken tenders looked and tasted like they were just cut from the breast of chicken...and YES, I'm just a customer. C'mon Oak Forest, let's make this place thrive. P.S. As we left, one of their workers was advertising free soup outside. If they're feeding the homeless on such cold night, so much the better!

If you are rooting for local establishments to fail you are either A) a manager of a local competitor or B) a negative sack of shit.

Papa's Pizza has also been there forever and the patrons there don't seem to have a problem going north or south on Cicero and if memory serves, the property was a local tavern for years -- turning with or against traffic is NOT a novel concept/
