Weakly Co. School Board Refuses To Discuss Mold

I think there needs to be a clean sweep of school board representatives in the Weakley County School District including and especially firing Richard Barber!!(There also needs to be a clean sweep of each and every school in this county!) It's way past time for the people of Weakley County to get a back bone and stand up for the students in this district. Are you lazy? Don't care? Apathetic? Scared? Learn to stand up for what is right people!!!

A clean sweep and fresh start of the school board is needed. After seeing and hearing what I experienced on Thursday at the "Board Meeting", I could see they were all just a big joke!! They obviously do not know their purpose and do not care for the students. Wake up and smell the roses. Oh that's right, who could smell any roses when there is so much of their MOLD under our noses.

Richard Barber is a disgrace to the Tennessee State Board of Education.... he has no respect for the students or the parents.... He definately is not a public relations person.... so many under handed things have been done in our Weakley County Schools...the school board and Richard Barber are all in the same bed.... People of this county that want a change and a new school board and new County School Superintendent need to speak out... there is coming a day that the you pat my back and I will pat yours will come to an end..... the damage that has been done to my child can never be compensated enough.... but justice will be served.....I encourage Weakley County people to post their views.... I am not scared to post mine.. sometimes I compare the school board and Richard Barber as the Sheriff and deputies in a small rural area that run the town like they want.. and anyone who tries to buck the system is hung out to dry.... Well Mr. Barber and duputies those days are over..... you will be run out of town.........

Richard Barber needs to go and so does the school board.... been bed partners too long....

Richard Barber is the most embarassment to the school districts of Weakley County.. he is underhanded and will do anything to get his way.... he has no business being the Superindent of the Weakley County schools..... or of any school district anywhere..... Nashville Board of Education needs to be investigating his actions on several decisions he has made on his on.... also the Weakley County School Board needs investigated... the Schools in Weakley county are suffering under his dictation and the school boards judgements.... I have been lied to by both ... and can prove my case.... and I will have a chance....

Theres not much I can say. Richard Barber is to busy trying to keep his name. He is a backstabbing s.o.b. He don't have a good name anyway. So you need to get out. GIVE IT UP YOU SUCK.

Get him and the school board out of the control of the crooked games and false power they think they have over Weakley County///// The county needs to go back to voting for School Suprintendent and not be under a dictatorship of Richard Barber and his bed partners

I have seen the reports on West view's mold problems,and there is enough mold inside that school,and others to keep the children from learning anything. As far as Richard Barber he was never a good teacher,person or principal.When he went to school himself he always thought he was better than the rest growing up in Palmersville,and going to school there. Remember Palmersville school? The school board gave away a building that was worth around one million dollars for forty thousand dollars.
Richard Barber and the school board to the most part is worse that HITLER was in WW2. We need to talk to our commissioners and tell them that we want to vote for our county offices,and if they don't abide to our wishes then we will vote them out of their positions and that can be done very easily.

I drove a bus in Weakley County for 13 years. I drove under three different superintendents. Mr. Simmons was a good and fair man. Ms. McWherther was a good and fair lady. Richard Barber is the main reason i quit driving. He is arrogant and does not work well with others. It is his way or no way. My grand daughter goes to Westview and stays sick all the time. She stood up in the meeting with Mr. Barber and he would not answer her well thought out questions. God have mercy on your soul for not caring about the children that you are suppose to be taking care of.
The school board members are just as guilty. Oh, by the way, Did you folks know we have a bus driver driving our school bus to Union City every day where he is a minister? I don't pay county taxes for our county bus to be driven as a private vehicle into another county. I am irrate over the school board always wanting more of our money to flounder.

I think it is time for the people in Weakley County to change the way things are going. To do so, we need to elect new school board members and get the office of School Superintendent put back on the ballot. Let us decide who we want in office that has our children and grandchildrens best interests at heart. It is quite apparent that the board members and Mr. Barber do not care about our childrens health. A sick child can not learn. To all board members and Mr. Barber; SHAME on all of you for not doing what needs to be done about the mold in all of the county schools. It isn't only Westview, but most of our schools have mold. Especially Dresden High School.

It is time to GET RICHARD BARBER out of the School system period. He is a disgrace to the county, he lies about everything. Thanks to him all the schools are going down. He did away with some high schools for NO reason and did away with some of the best teachers and principals for NO reason...We should get a petition going to get him out along with all the rest....

Richard Barber has done all the damage he needs to do to the Weakley County School System...and the Weakley County Board Members have followed in his footsteps... Its time we elected the School Superindent again... and re-elect new school board members.... no one in this position should be there till he dies... even the President of the US is elected by the people... Richard Barber has done nothing but damage to all of our Schools in Weakley County... Ok Folks all of you ready. to get the unquailfied man out.... Lets do it... I am ready

Barber wanna run for it.. I am truly sure he would be embarassed... and the school board members need to just resign because they would be embarassed... I cant think of one thing that BArber or the School Board has done for the county except spend . and spend... and holy cow look at what Barbar is being paid.... didnt know someone so dumb and unqualified for a job as his could make so much money..... People are you tired of all this underhanded you pat my back and I will cover you... if you are lets get going.... start a petition ... send it to Nashville.. or the best place... send a copy to the commissioners... we need to go back and elect our School Suprindent... my God what has happened to the Weakley County School System..... well that's an easy answer.. it is Richard Barber and the School Board.... Shame on them... and Shame on us for it getting this far.

I agree totally with everything everyone has said. Time to get off our back sides and do something besides talking about it. We need to find out how many names have to be on the petition to get the ball rolling. I will try to find out where to start and let all you good decent people know what we need to do.. God Bless all of us for trying to save our kids from Barber and the BOARD!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think there will be any trouble getting the unresponsible and most unqualified person that the Weakley County School System has ever had.... he was railroaded in as a part of the furniture.... anyone who can help please post.... and also let people know this web site is here.... word is beginning to get out that the web site for posting against Little Richard is here.......

If you give me about a week I will have the information about how to get the county offices on the ballot that is if their legal department dosen't tell them not to.We need to also start working on our county commissioners to get this back before the board of commissioners if they would it would be easier,and if they don't then get you someone to run for their spot on the commission at the next election

Dear Town: I just received notice of the details regarding the upcoming School Board meeting.
It will be Thursday, December 6, 2007, at 5 p.m. at the school district office in Dresden. This may not be as convenient to get to, but that is probably part of their plan. The less people, the better for them. Please make every effort possible to be at this meeting. This community needs to be aware of what is really going on with their schools. Maybe, just maybe, the school board (who should be working for "the people") will open their minds, mouths, and hearts to hear us and help us. I always try to look for the good in people but it is getting harder and harder to find the good. Spread the word!

Why is the meetings always so early.. 5 p.m. Well that is not hard to figure out.. Most people are at work or are just getting off from work.. how convient.... Mold is in all schools in Weakley County... I know Dresden and Westview for sure.. and also Greenfield... but mold issue is very important and our kids health and education are very important... it seems and I am quite sure we have a bunch of bedpartners.. including Richard Barber and the School Board... Barber and the School Board are like puppets on a string... there are school board members that will look you straight in the eye and seem so concerned about what you are telling them.. then they go and run to "Little Richard" and then they conjure up a story and they will lie to you face to face... with no remorse or feeling.... I have been talked to by Richard Barber like a dog.. and I am a parent ... he had no reason to talk to me that way and I thought to myself you poor little idiot.. that conversation showed to me what kind of unconcerned .. self centered ... and I am better than you attitude.. that Richard Barber has. and the School Board members ..well there is no need in talking to them because they will lie to your face and ramble and cant give you an answer to anything... what has happened to the Weakley County School System...well it started going down hill when we no longer elected the school suprintendent.... Richard Barber will stay in his position till he dies...and frankly who wouldnt .. check his paycheck..... and we are paying it with our taxes.... buses going to Union City.. with our tax money... now wonder how that happened.. waiting for a petition to sign.. Weakley County wake up and contact the commissioners .. which if they are in bed with Rihard too.. we need to get them out.......Disgusted and Embarassed

We have the worst School System in the State of Tenn. Oh how proud we are of you Richard Barber and you the school board members... I just know you will be so honored to have the Weakley County Schools put into the "HALL OF SHAME"

Folks they are holding the meeting in the so called district office so there will be no room for the public. This his his way of keeping us out so we won't confront him. I say lets all go and stand in the hallway if we have to. He can NOT hide in his office all night.
