96.5 The Mountain Goes Pop

This is the biggest bunch of crap I have ever heard!

This is the worst thing they could have possibly done. 96.5 has ditched a fiercely loyal fan base in a feeble attempt to seize 98.1's former demo of confused adolescents with no real spending power. Way to go. Is that "Survivor" I just heard? Good God. If I were Rock 105 right now, I'd be rejoicing.

i agee this sucks! I loved listening in the morning on the way to work could keep up with what was going on around our area. dont get me wrong I do like some of the music but we did'nt need another star 102.1 I'm sure this has alot of people upset.

I agree. I miss Brad & Jason. I liked having local people on to keep me up on local things. The music does not bother me that much but the morning show sucks. I guess I will have to listen to another radio station in the morning that is local.

What are they doing .... Bring back Brad & Jason they did a wonderful job of keeping everybody updated on local happenings. The format was great, comedians, local sports talk, etc.. etc.. even Tony San Antonio was a hoot to listen too ...

I don't know what you people are talking about 96.5 the mountain WAS the WORST radio station. They played the same music every hour every day. So of course no one is going to like it b/c it’s new and heaven forbid accepting anything new that comes along. It also had the two most obnoxious people on the air! The idiots in the morning were absolutely nauseating with no talent. They spent 2 weeks making fun of a small ok town just b/c it was Chattanooga or going to the "ghetto" and questioning locals like it was some joke. Come on they were the lamest djs I have ever been forced to listen to (it’s the only radio station that comes in at my work)! So halleluiah FINALLY this town has something different to listen to!

Well first of all if you would get out of Dalton you could enjoy more radio. True Brad is an idiot, Jason is a joke, but to go and change a format to chase the all mighty $$$ is riduculous!. They changed so now they can capture the 11 to 18 year old girl market with crap like Kayne West and Justin Timberlake. That crap is not music, it is sh*t! Some of us do not want to listen to Rock105 , b/c it is too heavy. I guess I will just have to get XM radio. And by the way jay you are an idoit. No one forces you to listen to 965!

This is the biggest bunch of bull crap I have ever heard. You had a lot of the older listner's in the area and we are just not into this type music. It is soooooooooo inpersonal not having live people discussing daily topics. You could at least tell your listeners what is going on and where all the people are that worked there. Some other station is going to move in on this and take over where you left off and rack up on all your listners.. We (as a family) are soooooo sad.

Oh, I agree. The music wasn't terrible but I stopped listening because of the dj's. They were redundant and infantile.

I probably still won't listen though, because as an old hippy at heart, I have no desire to hear what the latest pop-tartlett has to say. Bring me some Hendrix/Skynnrd/Allman Brothers. Throw some Aretha/Al Green/Otis Redding in there for good measure, please. I'll stick to NPR for commentary.

I can say I enjoyed the old 96.5 the mountain, but I can't say that I hate to see it go. Unfortunately I think it was a bad move on their part knowing that just about every top 40 station that has been in the chatt area has dissapeared after a couple years. As far as music goes I like the top 40 stuff and I am 28 years old so hears to hoping chattanooga can keep this top 40 station around a little longer.

Those loosers at the mountain will not answer the phone. They know that people are trying to call and tell them how much their station sucks now.

It is not just the morning show that sucks it is the whole station that sucks now.
