Body Found in Doddridge County

I realize that this is some what off topic here but can anyone tell what the crime statistics are like in Doddridge County. I am coming up that way in early August to look at a couple of homes and really know nothing about the area.

crimes? honestly, i kno of very few crimes in doddridge, but i may be wrong. Doddridge is pretty much a retirement county as i see it, Yes, you have your punks an low lifes around the town but not very many, which you have that everywhere. All round a wonderful county if you ask me!

Thanks I appreciate the reply I am planning to buy a couple of homes in the area. They will only be used about 4 weeks out of the year and I was just concerned about folks breaking in and destroying the place. Thanks again for the reply.

You might want to worry about drugs and flooding. Make sure the properties are no were near any streams or rivers.

most deff, if your not sure if it floods or not, ask anyone around they'll tell you. Not to many things get stolen, atleast i can say, i live in town an i have not had one thing stolen from me in 6 years.

Depends on where in the county your property is. Out in the middle of nowhere could be a problem if there aren't neighbors around.

The homes are both in Town and side by side and from the photos that I have seen they appear to be on quite a hill. I will no more in about two weeks when I am there. Thanks for all your replies.

In town, you should be ok. Everybody knows what is going on in West Union. Just don't expect any privacy when you do occupy your property!

This is supossed to be about a boy dying. Who cares about someone from out of state wanting to buy houses for hunting or whatever. Joe Durt a boy died here and yes you are off topic. If I were you I wouldn't come here. Outsiders are never accepted here. The law is corrupt from the judge to the police to the prosecuting attorney. This is no place to come nobody cares about anyone else here. I vote no,

Wow, why do you live here if that's how you feel? I disagree. This is a great place to live and there are a lot of caring, responsible people who live here.

To answer if Danny was Jeff's son, yes he is Jeffs son, and I was just told that his death is being closer examined. This could be a rumor. I didn't know the kid, and I am so sorry for his family. God be with them.

Now back to Mrs. Beamer, what has she done to so many people? Every time Igo out, or read any topix, she is there and always being talked bad about. Why is that?

I've heard a lot of rumors about the circumstances surrounding this man's death. I won't repeat them here. DC doesn't need anymore gossip than it already has! I hope what I've heard isn't true though. I feel so bad for his friends and family.

Mrs. Beamer was an easy target for people because she spoke her mind put herself out in the public eye way more than I think the other school board members do. I didn't always agree with her either, but I do respect that she has the ethics and morals to voice her opinion in a respectful manner..at least from what I've seen of her posts on this forum. So to answer your question as to what she did? She tried to change the status quo...a big no-no around here! Just my opinion.

well it seems to have started years ago and it just keeps adding and adding. she;s always been nice to me but i don't think she's a good representative

i also heard not so good news about daniel either way it's terrribe i love his mom

maybe if some of the enobs around here would even try to speak or acknowledge other people exist i might feel different. i don't want to move so i'll just be alone i guesss

You'll have people like that in every community. Just ignore them and associate with people who don't act that way.

Why would the poster ask if he was ill or hurt; when the headline reads " Body Found in Doddridge County" the word "Body" pretty much tells you that he was deceased. Think about it.

Maybe the poster used "drug related" because drugs use is high here in the county, as it is everywhere else.

Give the poster a break, you are suffering the heartache, but the poster doesn't hurt when you do. Human... just human.

Truth; there are many crimes here, as there are in every other county, our elected officials do not report the majority of the crimes, the county covers up, and whitewashes everything.

There is drug crime, rape, murder, and plenty of domestic violence. There are numerous destruction of property, and breaking and entering, and robbery too.

Big mistake to buy a home here and not live there full time, as there is a gang of men that seek out houses like this, and then they rob the owners.

The houses here in this county are for the most part a great distance apart, your home could be robbed, and the case go cold before the owners even realize that they have been robbed.

Yes Doddridge is full of good people, except for the few louses (as with anywhere else) but crime goes unreported. It would help if we had a newspaper for this county, not one that only covers family reunions and the CEOs next meeting.

The only thing that is discussed in this county is who has money or who doesn't, drives a nice car or not, owns a new home or not, works for Dominion, Sheriffs Department, Court House, volunteers at the EMS etc..... Nothing of substance is ever known. Ever get the feeling you can't be DIFFERENT or you don't belong!!!!
