There are no such compression stations in the State of Vermont and the one used to transport gas to Milton is in Canadia.... Why??? Because compression stations are needed approximately every 50 miles which is about the distance from Milton Vermont to Canadia.....
When natural gas leaves a compression station it's about 95% percent pure by volume.... When it reaches the next compressor station it has started to liquify and goes through a series of filters to remove as much liquid as possible.... It's what is in this liquid removed from this gas, that will bring this little endeavor to a screeching halt in Tree Hugger USA.... Anybody ever watch the movie Erin Brockovich???? That polluted water is from a natural gas compression station feeding a power plant.....
I would say the chances for this project to succeed are about the same as building an atomic power plant on Pleasant Street in Bennville, Vermont.....
Oh and did I mention the fact that it makes the noise of a DC-9 at full throttle, 24 hours a day????????
