I congratulate Bishop Rhoades and wish him well in his new assignment. At the same time I am saddened that he would be taken away from the Harrisburg diocese after serving here for only 5 years. In those five short years he has worked and increased the number of seminarians from 11 to 30 outstanding young men willing to give their life to God in the work of His church. The shortage of good priests is one of the biggest problems of the Catholic church in the United States. He has done so much to remedy that problem here in Harrisburg. God bless you, Dear Bishop. We the faithful of the Harrisburg diocese pray that you will be the first American born pope.

My Lutheran congregation, as part of the Lutheran/Anglican/Roman Catholic covenant has been praying regularly for +Kevin (and +Nathan).

He will be greatly missed in the ecumenical Christian community!

This news is very, very sad. Bishop Rhodes has been such a blessing to the Harrisburg Diocese. This saddens me to the very core. I have met Bishop Rhodes several times from working with RCIA at our church and he is such a special person. South Bend is getting an angel. God Bless him as he takes on new responsibilities in his new position. Harrisburg Diocese will never be the same.

what a sad day for the Harrisburg Diocese. I wish Bishop Rhoades all the best and hope he knows how much he was loved and respected from his parishoners. May God go with you.

Actually they picked him to go out and "fix" things at Notre Dame. They needed to do something! I can understand the Fighting Irish losing to Pitt, but Navy- NAVY!!!

Who is on the schedule for next year?
Are they playing Rice? How bout Tulsa or any of the other service acadamy's? Holy cow they won't get their first win of 2010 until the play Western Michigan!!!
Ouch!

I wish Bishop Rhoades all the best as her takes on a new challenge. He is such a Holy Priest, there is a lot that could learn from him. He always had the interest of the people of his church at heart and tried to make things better. I only wished we had the opportunity to see what else he could accomplish in the Harrisburg Diocese before that snatched him away from us. I am sure the Lord has bigger and better things planned for him. May God go with you Bishop Kevin Rhoades.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
