And the candidates keep pouring in!

Do the citizens of Lake County need an outsider running their Law Enforcement? What can her platform possibly be? Let's think about what a great job Sheriff Borders has been doing with the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The morale has never been higher. Just ask any Deputy. When the troops are happy, the citizens reap the benefits.The department has undergone enough turmoil, now let a great leader work for us.

WOW another GOOFBALL/ Clown from Orange County trying to run for Sheriff in Lake County. I say she is jumping ship before Kevin Fat Butt Beary goes down with the sinking ship. How in the world would anyone vote for anybody from the Orange County Sheriffs Office. The department is very poorly run, and is a joke amongst all other law enforcement agencies. If youa re so qualified Wells, stay in Orange where you are so loved, and keep your mitts off out of LCSO. You will be a distant 4th. Knupp will even garner more votes than YOU!

The battle is between Borders and Mysinger! Knupp and Wells are battling for scraps!

Kevin beary is one corrupt fat POS, I'd be surprised if the FBI doesn't take his fastass away before his term ends.

Lake County needs a resident as Sheriff. Not someone who only technically lives here, and has spent their life in Orange County.
You should run in Orange County, dont bring your problems here. Obregon will get more votes if he runs again.

Everyone is moaning and groaning about an "outsider" running for Lake County Sheriff. You don't want anyone who works in another county to run "our" Sheriff's office. I'm still waiting for a qualified candidate from Lake County to emerge.
REMEMBER folks, Knupp was also with the ORANGE COUNTY Sheriff's Office when he was elected LAKE County Sheriff. When he took office, he brought Borders with him as manager of the corrections facility (the jail for those who might not know what a corrections faciity is).
I have no idea how many more candidates will come out of the woodwork before election time, but one thing is for sure....it's going to be interesting.

The ONLY candidiate qualified as of now is Tom Mysinger, read his web site of his work history and you will see the QUALIFICATIONS you are looking for! It's not the outsider thing, as much as it is the ORANGE COUNTY thing. Kevin Beary is corrupt, andas a taxpayer of LAke County, I do not want ANYONE from Orange Countys corrupt Sheriffs Office running Lake County or Orange County SO. Orange needs new blood, Lake needs a real leader, not a guy trying to DATE his deputies!

Knupp was also a long time resident of Lake County. And what is QUALIFIED? A bunch of mail order degree's? How about somebody who truly cares about the citizens in this county and is part of our community. A person who has been with the Sheriff's office who has experience with budgets and actually commanding the organization. Someone perhaps, that the Governor of the State of Florida has shown great confidence in. Think about it folks......

What does this say about Orange County. OCSO's administration is trying to get out. Heck, they don't even live in the county they are sworn to protect. What does that say for their ability to fight crime and protect their community. Try moving into "your" county and, quitting your job, and running against the sheriff that you obviously don't want to work for any longer. Our "community" is doing just fine. Our Sheriff's Office is better than it's ever been. And last, but not least, our citizens are protected are better off.

Bringing up the fact that Knupp used to work for OCSO doesn't help your case. He was indicted!

I think Mysinger is the one who was dating a Deputy.....Oh wait then he married one. What does that have to do with anything? Stop it already. Let's keep it professional or can Mysinger supporters not do that?
Now tell us all how someone from Tangerine is a Lake County Taxpayer and then give a definition of a "Qualified" individual.

A qualified individual is one that can lead, which is what Lake County already has with Sheriff Borders.

You can have all the education and training you want, but none of these people hold a candle to Sheriff Borders' superior, natural leadership skills. In addition, Sheriff Borders also has experience at handling budgets and overseeing entire facilities. Electing anyone other than Borders would drastically undermine the integrity of the Sheriff's Office as well.

With Orange County's violent crime rate spiraling out of control, the need for ATF and FBI assistance, I don't think anyone coming from there has much hope.

It has recently been reported that there has been a 10% REDUCTION in MAJOR CRIMES in LAKE COUNTY, thanks to the professionalism and leadership of SHERIFF BORDERS and his deputies.

I don't think Knupp will be an issue, the media will make it seem like the mistakes he made happened yesterday.
Another poster here mentioned the words of a retired FBI agent, "Once a criminal, always a criminal".

Lake County has large base of wise senior voters, they and the rest of the counties voters will not put a criminal, removed by our former Governor, back in Sheriff's Office.

It is already clear who the best choice for the position is. This clarity will emblazon Sheriff Borders' path to victory.

Border has never worked as a deputy/police officer on the road...has he???.NO...He has worked in the jail the whole time (26 years of correction experience). Look at both web sites and you will see who is the most qualified to be sheriff of Lake County.

The cyber crimes unit has caught local sexual deviants as well. Maybe you forgot about the guy from Astor and others. But who cares who they catch, you won't ever be happy with any of their hard work.

Experience managing people is the biggest asset that one needs to be a leader. Borders' experience and actions in this area are better than the rest of the candidates. Mysinger had his chance to prove he was a leader and ended up just keeping the seat warm for the next guy.

All of them need to do a Lie Detector test and a psych evaluation.

I think I am going to vote for the one who actually cares for his/her deputies. That happens to be Borders. Do you honestly think any of the others gives a rats ass about those on the road or in the jails? or they just care about thier political gains? When a Sheriff knows deputies by their first name and treats them with respect, that is how I know that they are the person for the job.
