I see he has reached out to the Gay community for his re-election bid! He has no accomplishments to run on so I suppose he will start promising everything to everyone. To be honest, I am suprised he is still in office!

I'm surprised you have a brain. You can get new parts for it.

that should get him reelected since the public has been swayed to a more liberal point of view over the past decade or so

I am a gay young man living here in somerset... Yea yea I know. Whatever.

But I still have an opinion. It may not be what you think.

If Obama had said this 2 years ago, I may actually be happy about this news. I am not buying it. There is very little ANY president or hopeful can say during election year that I am going to believe.

I am one of the few gay republicans. Obama does not have my vote. Most gay people assume they have to vote
Democrat just because they are gay. I am not on that band wagon.

I am 23 years old and knew I was gay when I was about 13. Yet, I am not 100% for gay marriage. I am all the way for gay RIGHTS. I don't expect the world to treat me any different in many respects.

Obama will do anything and say anything for a vote, but he will not take the blame for anything. Anyone who has no respect for their Mother is a sorry POS. He's played his own race card too many times and it's a wonder he don't drown when it rains as he's always looking down his nose at everyone and everything. It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for him again.

Bravo! I am not one that is homophobic either, but I do see marriage as between a man and a woman. Where in history of man had marriage been defined any other way? It is a religious institution. I do, however, support something in the line of civil unions with the same benefits of marriage. I will not pretend to understand "being gay", however, I do not agree with discriminating against those who are.

I have friends that are queers. That doesn't bother me. I have slept in a pile of queers. They didn't bother me. Queers eat, drink, shit, piss, and bleed red blood. Queers laugh, oh, God they cry, they feel inadquate. Queers sing some of the most beatiful songs you will ever hear, they paint beautiful pictures, they capture a heartbeat in a photograph. Queers' hearts are perhaps more open to others because so many so called people close their hearts to them.
I personally am in favor of a civil union- of course committed couples should be able to have a voice in each other's future, health care, etc as well as retirement benefits, etc. I don't really think 'marriage' is appropriate because it carries religious....stigma?...or whatever that the general population cannot deal with.

The only thing I have issue with is the word "Queers". for some reason that seems inappropriate. Shouldn't it be "Gay's"? Or am I out of touch here? Just asking and trying not to be disrespectful.

There are words that are just as disrespectful as the N word. But, living in somerset you get over it. I am not a "flashy" gay but obviously you can tell by looking because if I go into Walmart at least 3 people will yell faggot. When I was younger it hurt my feelings. Now it makes me laugh.

Nothing is wrong with me. I am one of the nicest people. If I say so myself. I will do anything I can to help someone even my enemies.

Everyone has the right to an opinion and just because it isn't the same as mine or yours doesn't mean it's wrong.

Is it not? If it isn't I won't say it. I had no idea that that is offensive so if it is please tell me!
