I have heard that it is a very rough place and full of drug addicts. That you don't need to go in by yourself. Is this true. I really would like to go but a little scared to!

I've been going there almost since they opened. The place is not full of "druggies", and no it isn't scary, unless of course you're afraid of doctors anyway. He is a nice guy, very savvy about pill shoppers, uses KASPER to keep track of abusers, and will turn you down flat unless you can prove your need for pain medications.(And I'm not talking about walking in there with a bad limp). You'll need your previous (and recent) records from another doctor, including MIR's and X-rays or your out the door. You'll also drug test every time you go for your appointment, plus it's done before you're allowed to see the doctor. It's a very thorough drug screening, so you decide for yourself if you're wasting your time (and his) before go.. He's not a pushover by any means.

The weight loss program that they offer speaks for itself. You have to be evaluated and your weight must warrant the treatment. As with the pain meds, you won't walk out with pills if you're obviously a normal weight. Talk to them when you call. The office staff is also really nice.

AND NO, I AM NOT ONE OF THE WORKERS FROM THERE. I'm just trying to help.

Somehow, that doesn't surprise me coming from people around here. I'm sorry they told you that. I really am.

It's to the right of Rose's as you pull in, next door to Raggedy Annie's.

Did you receive help for the weigh management? If so, did the program work for you and is it medicinal based?

I go there for pain management only. But due to my pain being under control, I've dropped a lot of weight. I'm able to reasonably function again and not spend hours at a time laying down or reclining in a chair. I can do more normal things that I used to take for granted, like actually walking around the Flea Market for a little while. It's a blessing. I hope it keeps getting better.

One of the other posters above will have to explain the weight loss program to you because I'd not want to lead you wrong. I do know that they offer vitamin B-12 shots. The doctor writes prescriptions for weight loss meds, but I don't know what they are. I'm sure that it's used with an exercise regimen. Like I said, I'm there for pain management, so the weight loss plan isn't something I know about. My weight is dropping because I can be more active again without the pain I was in before.
