There has not been anything introduced in the State House or the State Senate. This wouldn't be approved because you cannot favor one religion over another in PUBLIC schools. Private schools on the other hand can teach any religion they wish to teach, and I just have one last thing. Parents should be teaching their children- What kind of lazy, unknowing parent would trust someone else with their child's spiritual path? Grow up and start teaching your children stop trying to pawn it off on the schools. We are already one of the last nations in math and science this is an insult.

I don't have a denomination or go to a church of any kind but I have my own belief system. I see nothing wrong with teaching all religions in school. It should at least be offered as an elective. Some people are open minded enough to want to know about all religions and cultures. School is to educate and like it or not, religion is a part of all societies and has a great bearing on the way many people live their lives. Why should our children be denied this knowledge if they thirst for it? Gotta love when a religious person uses the term open minded when talking to a non-believer, can we say hypocrite. If they thrist for it, a kid, lol.

According to the pedophiles they love those children the same way you and I would love a man or a woman. Does that make it okay because it's about love? It won't be long now till they will also be lobbying for their rights to love who their attracted to. Will you be on that bandwagon as well, or is it only gays that have a right to love who they wish? Only a True Believer† would lump sexual abuse of a child with a consentual adult relationship. Children are not adults, I know you christians wish that the law would change so you can fondle them in the pews(like your church leaders do) but it ain't gonna happen.

Why should our children be denied this knowledge if they thirst for it? Then they can go to a church, synogog, mosque, or temple to learn. Those are not paid for by taxpayers. Schools, supported by taxation, are for education, not religious indoctrination. *Comparitive* religion classes, which teach ABOUT religions, are usually offered as electives already in high schools.

Does the phrase "consenting adults" ring a bell?

And if you paid any attention, we have shown that this whole discussion is about CONSENTING adults, not children. Your quick jump to pedophilia is a red-herring. Children cannot consent. Children can be harmed developmentally. Pedophilia is NOT the same as homosexuality. These are scientific AND legal facts. It is well documented the harm that can come to children when sexually violated that way. What we ARE discussing is loving relationships between two consenting adults. I imagine you are also against interracial marriages from your immediate need to cloud the issue. After all, racial preferences are only preferences was the EXACT same argument used to prohibit interracial marriages years ago.

I get so worn out with the pedophilia/bestiality arguments - it makes me wonder if they obsess daily about the sex lives of others. More and more it seems a better definition of homophobia is the fear a gay man will treat a straight man the exact same way the straight man treats a woman. It seems to scare them to death.

Of course they obsess daily about the sex lives of others, their god does, the bible tells me so.
