It seems like every day I hear of another domestic violence story. My daughter-in-law is a victim of domestic violence. Her husband was active in church, coached Little League, and everyone thought he as a good dad, but it was easy for him to pretent on the street but behind close doors it was a different story--the sad thing is that he always blamed her. Here is another headline for domestic violence killing NANCY, Ky.(WKYT) A man was shot by a Kentucky State Police trooper Thursday morning during an apparent domestic dispute in Pulaski County. Kentucky State Police were called to a home on Okalona Drive in Nancy for a welfare check. When police arrived at a couple's mobile home they say they heard a gunshot. They say Mary Hislope, who lived at the home, had called 911, screaming for help. When troopers got there they say the woman and a man, identified as Tim Hislope, came to the door. Troopers say the man took the woman back inside, and that's when they heard the shot. They say Hislope came back outside and fired at police. That's when troopers say they shot him. Hislope was flown to UK Hospital, but police did not have information on his condition. WKYT'S Phil Pendleton is on the scene and will be tracking this story throughout the afternoon. ----------

It is on the rise. When my husband started hitting me shortly after I got married nobody believed me. Even my own family was reluctant because he had a Masters Degree, volunteered at school, was on the school board and was a "nice" guy. However, he is a sociopath. He is nice to your face, but behind closed doors it is another story. He always talked about how tough he was. He was a former Ranger in the Army, blah blah blah! He was so insecure. Eventually I couldn't take it any more and didn't want to cover for him any longer. He made good money and I didn't have a job at the time, so I regretfully delayed leaving. If you are in this type of situation--Get the Hell Out and stop covering up for your sorry ass husband. You deserve to be treated like a queen.

Please wait...
I had an abusive ex one time too. He knew how and where to hit me so that it wouldn't leave an outwardly visible mark. Eventually it got to the point that it was either him or me. I left and never looked back. Domestic violence can come from either sex. Both a man OR a woman can become abusive. I don't understand why you would want to hurt someone you supposedly loved at one time. What flips that switch is usually a complete mystery....

Local lawyer was abusive before he committed suicide but it will never be released because everyone is hiding what a pathetic piece of crap he was. He had to be in Control at all times wether it be stealing to finance his corvettes! Or fraud cases to finance his vacations... He killed his self to punish his wife......guess what it worked and everyone has let it! Were was the domestic violence advocates the day of his death......turning heads like everyone involved in this pathetic case that has been nothing but one abusive basta--ds last type of control.....He left his wife menatlly broken and accused of his suicide....but keep turning heads America.....the next person could be your child!

Its always the guys fault. It doesn't matter that he has to work overtime because his woman is lazy, strung out on drugs and screws everyone. It doesn't matter if she hits him, blows their money and pawns the kids off on the grandparents while he's at work. Nothing matters except he smacked her once. Im not saying its right, im just saying sometimes i understand.

Most abusers will say it is their spouses fault--these are sociopaths that take no responsiblity. It is no accident that many abusers are alos on government assistance for mental disorders. They blame their parents, the military, their boss, unfair treatment in life, etc., etc. The reality is that most people experience some sort of Hell on Earth! However, some take responsiblity for their actions and make better choices. Most of the abusers are like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. In public they act so sweet and nice. They work hard to put on a show and many nieve people fall for their acts. Many are our coaches, teachers, preachers, and professional in the community.

The front page of the Commonwealth Journal sums up the problems we so often see in court on domestic violence. The article states that the KILLER said he was married to the best woman in the world and they were best friends. However, he had a history of domestic violence and other crimes. This is another case of Facebook Fantasies Gone Wild! I'm sure his wife even commented on his Facebook and said she was married to a wonderful man--her best friend. This is a way of protecting herself mentally from the anguish she experiences behind closed doors. 9 out of 10 times you can interview a victim of domestic violence and they will comment almost over the top on how great their husband is--until they make their Getaway! This may seem strange, but it is nothing more than a protective mechanism for the victim. She has to appease the devil until she can leave. My sister when thru the same thing and had 3 small children to protect. She left but the battle continued over visitations and things her children were saying when they came home. Of couse, the perpitrator tried to outsmart everyone and make false allegations, but a custody evaluation from a trained professional busted his scheme. The things people do are so sick.

It's the Bible believers, church going every day the doors are open. Those are the worst cause they are the ones nobody admits too. Wouldn't want anybody to think bad of a good Christian.

They go to church hoping God will be their Santa Clause or they go to look good. The crazy thing about this guy who shot his wife--he was writing love notes to his wife on Facebook, and posting inspiration quotes. If you relied on his Facebook page, you would think that with all the smiling photos of him and his wife and love notes that they were madly in love. This is another example of the Facebook Posers! What goes on behind closed doors is another story. Usually the ones Posing on Facebook or in public the most are the ones causing the most trouble--but these fakers would tell you otherwise. They'll tell you how concered they are and how much they care...yeah right!

Percentage wise they admit to these type of things as much as those who aren't church goers. Good Christians are just as bad as non-Christians. The difference is who they believe in and the hope that comes with the acceptance of Jesus.

The Bible is only stories and legends handed down through the ages altered as needed for effect and at the tellers discretion. "Good Christians " are just brain washed zombies unable and unwilling to think for themselves and to be accountable for their own paths in life. I believe the Bible should have or may have started out as a book of wisdom and lessons learned by our ancestors but it was soon corrupted as all things are by greedy people. Never pay for your beliefs( pay the preacher, give money to the church,) if you wish to believe in God or whoever your heart felt belief is free of charge and if God is real he is free.

Hmm I think the dead sea scrolls would argue that point. But none the less all you had to do was say you disagreed with me. In stead you choose to belittle my personal beliefs and then haphazardly & sarcastically tell me I can believe if I want to for free. Just as you didn't think too much of my post forgive me if I don't take any stock into yours. Nothing greedy about the Bible and it is a handbook for ones life. You are free to read it or not just as you are free to believe in God or not.

And as for belittling your belief, no dear I did not. You only jump to defense like everyone else who hears that someone does not believe as they do. I once made a remark about lighting a candle at an alter and was immediately accused of worshipping satan. Even thou most "Christian" religions light candles at alters. I worship no one. I am master of my own life. And I learn from experience and teachings from my elders. Just as your Bible says. If people used the Bible as a handbook for life is not the first teachings about incest and lust, many men married their sister and daughters, that was a "good Christian thing to do". And people wonder where all the bad comes from. Brain washed Christians sounds like to me. To quote the last "preacher" I heard try to preach a sermon and this line made me get up and leave "God Bless Facebook"

As you are right about the stories of incest, lust and marry siblings....but those who only know a little about the Bible and don't understand it's meaning point at the Old Testament as if it is the handbook for how to live ones life. The Old Testament is the old laws. Sacrifices had to be made to atone for those sins yet God said man isn't capable of being free from those sins. As a result he brought his son to earth to die as the ultimate sacrifice for those sins. Thus paying a price that we can't pay. It does not excuse sin as the Bible in the new testament commands us try and live our lives as Christ did. It is a reassurance that we won't get the punishment that we deserve. Again feel free to believe how you want. Read what you want. Belittle me or not that is fine with me. I, like I am sure you would say, am comfortable with my beliefs and know where I am heading.

They are wolves in sheep's clothing--they work their entire life to hide their true self. They first entice a woman by being passive, gentle, almost too nice, shower them with gifts, try to be their hero, and then they use things to control them. To strip them of their identity--isolate them, check their phones, show up at their work, try to get them to quit their job--not to be a stay at home mom, but so they can control them, because many of these men are on mental disability.
