Do you see!?! Do you see?!?

We tried to tell you that crime and murders would increase if you sinners allowed alcohol to be sold here! But did you listen? Nooooooo!!

It's too late now. God's fury has been unleashed on this community. I'm afraid there's nothing in this town's future but doom and destruction.

But God knows it's for your own good.

Alcohol isn't being sold here yet . It won't be for another 90 days or more . This only proves that these things happen here without legal sales of alcohol !

From WKYT:

A man who fled on foot after shooting a Nancy man in Pulaski County has been caught.

On Saturday morning just after midnight, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a shooting incident in the Oil Center area of Pulaski County. Police say upon arrival, units learned that two men had gotten into an argument at a campsite on the banks of Fishing Creek in the Oil Center area. During the argument, one of the men produced a handgun and fired at the other, striking him at least one time in the chest.

The shooter has been identified as Carl "Ricky" Smittle Jr, 50, 87 Hansford Street Eubank, KY. After the shooting, Smittle fled the area on foot. The Sheriff's Department K-9 unit was called to the scene the track of the suspect.

The victim has been identified as Eric Scott Pitman, 34, 11215 West Highway 80 Nancy, KY. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner's Office. Pitman's body will be transported to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

According to Police, Smittle was found around seven this morning at a house at 492 Stringtown Road. He is currently at Pulaski County Detention Center.

The circumstances leading up to the argument and shooting remain under investigation by the Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division. Further details will be
released as they become available.

Sarcasm is a hard thing for some of you to understand isn't it... Told Ya

If someone wasn't killed I may have thought that was a bit funny. Unfortunately someone died so it is by no means funny.

I hope this guy gets whats coming to him if he had no reason for shooting that guy. I have never understood the need to pull out a gun when fisticuffs have always worked just fine for me.

I have had my ass beaten on occasion and I have also served up ass whippings but at no point did I think to myself maybe I need to go get my gun and shoot some bastard in the face or chest.

Some people should never be allowed to go anywhere. And apparently this guy is one of those people...

We have been begging the police and game warden for months to please patrol that area. What once was a great place to take our children has turned into a crime infested garbage dump. So sad that it had to come to this to get authorites to uphold the law. Praying for all involved in the shooting.

There have been more than one murder out there. The police don't give a damn about that place. Its too far away from their parking spots to get speeders or someone who forgot to turn their turn signal on.

I partied out at oil center when I was young but now the only time I go out that way is in the Daylight. To many assholes that just want to start fights instead to of camping.

Yes, a tragedy but it's even more of a tragedy that the people who live in this area can't feel safe going down there to enjoy the scenic beauty, natural swimming spots and trails for horse riding or walking because of this kind of behavior and the low lifes who hang out there. I mean no disrespect but it's an isolated, but still accessible, part of the county and it's on state/federal land that should be available to all. But it's been hijacked by drug deals, low lifes and deadbeats who trash the place and make it unsafe for any decent respectful people. Not a safe place at night or during the day. How about some of our county sheriffs down there?

People like you are so typical. I asked a question and you come in with your nonsense adding nothing to what the question was posted for. Idiots like you must have been living under a rock somewhere!! It's not like Somerset hasn't been full of booze since it's been on the map and crime has been the same, so do us all a favor and keep your stupidity to yourself or start your own thread to spew your ignorance on so we don't have to click on it and get past it to find out the info we started a thread for!! Go take your meds and crawl back under your rock will ya!! And now I will say thank you to the person that actually let us know what had happened....

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Cancer

You have stars in your eyes and you're in a really romantic mood today. Your idea of heaven is to be with that special person in your life, preferably doing something very nice. If you meet someone new or a relationship gets off the ground today, things will always be rather dreamy and otherworldly between you. It will be as though real life, with all its problems, never intrudes on your time together.
