Dee Lay wrote: <quoted text>Obama has had 3.5 years to fix the Bush policies that hurt the economy. Guess what? Bush didn't have any. Bush sent up the red flags about the housing market beginning in 03. What do you think caused this whole dam mess? You libs simply can't stomach the fact that all the lies about Bush's policies causing this economic mess is just that... LIES! You libs, especially the "Glory Hound" Obama are trying to take credit for Saving GM & Chrysler... Wall Street... Saving us from the worst economy since the great depression. OBAMA DIDN'T DO ANY OF THAT! George Bush did! You see libs the facts are on my side. Bush went to Pelosi/Reid controlled congress and asked for money for the car companies. THEY SAID NO! They didn't give a shit if a million people lost their jobs as long as they got their boy ("The Glory Hound") elected. Here's what really happened. When Bush got the TARP funds the first thing he did was bailout GM & Chrysler, and then Wall Street. You libs always bring up NAFTA and blame the republicans for voting for it. You never mention Clinton's role in bringing China into the WTO. The BULLSHIT promises that would lead America to even greater prosperity. Have you see the trade deficit lately? How about the millions of jobs that disappeared. You see libs... The Buck stops with the president. Now Drex, this just isn't true & everybody knows it, even you. The part about Bill Clinton is pretty much true & I was not a great fan of his because of it. But, what I've said about Bush is absolutely true. I watched it every day & subscribed to about 10 to 15 publications by mail to keep up with all of it as it was happening because I was extremely alarmed by what Bush/Cheney were doing...not to mention, almost lost a few Friends because that was all I could talk about, but I couldn't get anybody to listen. Now, they know I was right.

He is still perfecting the process. About 4-5 years ago Exxon-Mobile bought out one of his competitors. So you are right about our President and big oil.......they know where the future is. that sounds promising..... especially for air/ship or train fuel. wasnt virgin atlantic's richard branson developing this fuel??

Dee Lay wrote: In our “Red Tape Rising: Obama-Era Regulation at the Three Year Mark” report, James Gattuso and Diane Katz detail how the Obama Administration has imposed new regulations costing $46 billion annually, with nearly $11 billion more in one-time implementation costs. That is about five times the cost of regulations imposed during the first three years of President George W. Bush’s administration, but the burden is even higher. The red tape of the past three years helps explain why the economic recovery has been so slow and job creation so anemic. Don’t take our word for it, but those of President Obama himself. In January 2011, he said that “rules have gotten out of balance” and “have a chilling effect on growth and jobs.” And he’s right. Where the President breaks with reality is his pledge for a get-tough policy on overregulation and a comprehensive review of regulations imposed by Washington. In fact, to hear President Obama tell the story, you would think he’s a champion of slashing red tape and that his Administration has set its sights on slashing overregulation. Obama can't do much of anything because the House will vote it down, like they've been doing. The only way he's been able to get anything passed is to water it down to the bare minimum that he really wants, just to get the TEApublican-controlled House to vote it in. Alittle is better than nothing, but barely. And it has slowed this Recovery down to a crawl, thus prolonging it alot longer than it would have taken, if the TEApublicans had just goten out of Obama's way, IMO, & the majority of the Economists think so, too.

I checked it out and sure enough to my suprise Richard Branson coughed up $60 million for this type of algae research. Exxon-Mobile has already put out $500-$600 million on it. Keep in mind the end product is crude oil, so it will not be just air/ship or train fuel.

Puff was proud when the President Obama administration stopped defending the discriminatory “Defense of Marriage Act”(DOMA) after the Justice Department concluded that the law was unconstitutional. It is imperative that all Americans receive equal protection under the law -- that including your LGBT men and women in uniform and their spouses. After President Obama refused to defend the discriminatory “Defense of Marriage Act,” monsieur John Boehner and House Republicans intervened. They’ve hired a team of lawyers who could rack up a bill of up to $1.5 million that will go straight to the taxpayers. That's why puff was shocked to hear that Speaker John Boehner decided to use your tax dollars to intervene and stand up for DOMA to deny LGBT Americans the rights they deserve. This is discrimination -- plain and simple. Even worse, they’re using DOMA to try to deny benefits to the spouses of gay and lesbian veterans and active duty soldiers. No one who risks their lives for their country should have to return home to face prejudice from your nation’s elected leaders. monsieur Boehner and monsieur Cantor should Stop spending (wasting) millions of taxpayer dollars defending the discriminatory "Defense of Marriage Act.

I just wish some of them could explain to me what is so damn great about "Marriage"? It's not the "marriage", there are lots of married People who can't stand to be around one another! What is truly great is finding a good person that you're compatible with, whom you love dearly & that loves you just as much, in return. Now, THAT is worth defending!

I swear, Conservatives have the worst hang-up about sex that I've ever seen! They don't understand their own bodies & why they have the "urges" that they do...they think all sex is dirty & should be condemned, unless they can sneak around & do it...they'll have 4 Kids & then, try to claim they only had sex 4 times & it was just to procreate because it's sinful & nasty to have sex for pleasure & to express your love for your Mate. And because they think it's "sinful" to have sex & they're making themselves miserable & warping their own minds about it, they want to warp our minds & make us miserable, too. How about teaching alittle responsibility & common sense & alittle do's & don't's about sex & leave everybody alone about the rest of it? I, personally, don't want anybody else nosying into my sex life except me & the one I'm having sex with. It's a private matter & it's nobody else's business! If it was everybody else's business, I'd be doing it on the Court Square, in public!

the fairness debate is front and center in this election. and while fools like timbuk think we live in bolshevic land???? the truth is that ceo's (who's companies are listed on the s & p 500), make an average of almost 13 million dollars a year. 380 times what blue collar workers average. it has increased from 42 times to 380 times in 31 years? this is alarming. sorry comrade timbuk, but the numbers dont quite back you up on that communism thing!!!
