I was kidnapped.

I lived in Smyrna as a child. We lived on Hurt Rd and I was kidnapped from that house while asleep in my bedroom. It was about 1969. I was returned to my bedroom before morning. I saw on topix a discussion that led me to a caselaw story about Virgil Presnell Jr who kidnapped 2 girls and killed one in this area in 74 or maybe 76. Anyway, there was never an arrest made in my case, but I wonder if it could have been him? How many men were kidnapping girls in those days?? I live in another state now and am 42 years old. I have only recently tried to find some info about my kidnapping, maybe a news article or something. So far not a thing. My dad told me that the police came and took statements from my folks but that is all he could give me. He does not remember any newspaper article but he left the next day for a business trip and was gone awhile.(It made my mother furious at the time, as she was a basket case over the whole thing.) My mother has passed away. Anybody out there remember this happening to a little girl in Smyrna around 1969? Now my curiousity is peaked after reading about the Presnell case. Thanks!

I would suggest going to the local newspaper in Smyrna or Marietta, and asking them to let you browse the "newspaper morgue" that they regularly maintain...

He was young boy at the time. I am sure it had to be a man.
