Govt waste story on Newschannel 5

NewsChannel 5 investigative team has a story Monday on how the Upper Cumberland Development District, which is supposed to be helping the Smithville's neediest, is spending money. I hear Dekalb county exec Mike Foster, who is on the UCDD board, was interviewed for the piece. Here's a promo for the story that airs on Monday and Tuesday at 10pm:

be interesting to see what comes out. the word on the street is that Phyllis redmon bennett has had her whole family on the payroll of uchra.

including faye (miss baby) driver fugua. miss baby was rumored to be paid $40,000 for conducting 2 singing classes a month at indian mound and another boys home.

that sounds like a lot - maybe we'll find out the truth.

and since all the county mayors are board members of uchra, guess we'll find out how mike foster voted to spend our tax dollar$

hey wondering- its UCDD theyre doing the story on, not UCHRA. 2 different organizations. granted UCHRA should be investigated as well.

Indeed it is. But did you know that Wendy Askins worked at the UCHRA as well? Did you also know these two agencies are similar as well. Ask someone who has ever worked at UCHRA how it is run and also about the parties they have. Ask about how you are expected to go to these parties. They both need to be investigated.

From what I know Wendy Askins worked at the UCHRA and got fired, and then was going to try to sue. She sounds like a good 'ol republican.

Do you think we'll ever fully know just how much Mike Foster and Taft Hendrixson have stollen from DeKalb County since elected? I think not. But I would bet one thing for sure, if the truth were ever fully uncovered, Mr. Foster and Mr. Hendrixson will discover how they look in stripes!
