Please Pray for Jenny Blaylock

Jenny Blaylock (wife of Mike Blaylock) is in serious condition at Vanderbilt. She had a hip replacement done Thursday, but something went terrible wrong. Her brain is swelling, she is unresponsive, and she is also having to have blood transfusions. Please remember her family, as she has 2 kids, and they are just beside themselves as how something so simple could go so wrong. Thank you for your prayers.

She is 38 and works for one of the probation offices.Her husband Mike works at the Sheriff's Dept. They have a son Zach Young, and two girls Bre & Jodi ages 7 & 9.

This is what Mike posted on her caringbridge site earlier today around noon:
I spoke to the doctor this morning and he said there has been no significant change since yesterday. She is still in the coma but is breathing on her own with a little help. Her vitals are all pretty good and her fever is down. Her eyes no longer respond to light and her only movements are reflex actions to painful stimulus. The doctors don't give me much hope but the God I serve is more powerful than they are. Please keep praying for us.

Lord, we come before you and ask you Lord, for this girl, that you touch her and heal her God. The dr's can't figure out what is wrong, but God, you are the ULTIMATE dr. You took the stripes for her healing and I pray you lift her up out of this coma and in her right mind, completely healed, in Jesus name we pray AMEN

I do not know her but i know her girls. They are great kids and they, nor does the husband, deserve to have to go through this. I will keep praying for her and her family. I am sorry to hear about this tragic mishap.

I just came back from sitting with Jenny. The nurse today won't let me spend as much time with her as I have been. They have had to change the settings on the ventilator during the night so that it is helping her breath and they have increased her oxygen flow to 80% because her O2 SAT keeps droping. Shes at about 97 on the 80%. The respiratory tech said her lungs are getting stiff.
The doctor says I will have to decide by the end of the week about long term life support. Other than that there hasn't been much change since yesterday. Thank you all for the prayers; please pray without ceasing until she comes home. Jesus is the only hope we have, and that is enough if we all have enough faith.

Not good news at all but here is what Mike has posted on the Caring Bridges website. PLEASE PLEASE EVERYONE PRAY PRAY PRAY. We don't want to loose her. She's a wonderful FRIEND, MOTHER, WIFE, DAUGHTER, SISTER ETC. Jenny we love you!!

A lot has happened since my last post. Unfortunate ly none of it was good. Last night Jenny's pulse rate dropped to 50 and her blood pressure was 79/50. She has went from high blood pressure to normal to now low pressure. They are giving her medicine to keep the pressure up and it is working. They think that her brain may have swollen more because her reflexes went to almost none and she can no longer breathe on her own.
The trachea and stomach peck surgeries have been postponed due to the changes. They are going to do another CT scan today to check the swelling and a brain flow test to check for blood flow in her brain. The results of these tests will determine what happens next. If the results are bad then the surgeries for today and tomorrow will have to be cancelled. Her kidneys don't seem to be working now either. She has a specialist with her now checking on that. Her sodium levels keep increasing even though they are treating her for it, it still goes up. God has been our hope for the past week and we still hold on to that. However it is looking as though he may have other plans for Jenny right now. Keep praying for her without ceasing.

Just heard Jenny passed away. Pray for the family.

I have been praying for the family since this was on topix. I do not know the family, but am so saddened to hear that she did not recover, but I know she is now at rest with Jesus. Jesus give this family peace in the midst of their heartache, and bring them comfort.

This is so sad. I just cried, I am so sorry for what your family is going through. May God bless you and keep you strong, we are praying for you and your family. Jenny now has the ultimate healing, but it will be hard for you and your family. Lean on Jesus and your church family, they will carry you through

Hello friends,
I'm afraid today is the day I'd hoped would never come. Jenny's brain flow  test this morning shows that her brain is dead now. I am honoring her wishes as an organ donor so we have to keep her on the ventilator until they are ready to take her to surgery. It could be as late as tomorrow night, I don't know yet. I want to thank everyone for their support thru all of this and I hope in some way I can repay your kindness. I will post more info when it becomes available. For now I can tell you that we will be using Oaklawn Funeral Home in Sparta. And burial will likely be at Skurlock Cemetery. Thats the one beside Ole Bethel Baptist Church in Quebeck. For those of you that know Jenny please honor her with your memories of her posted in the guestbook on this site. It will help to heal our broken hearts. Thank you all, and we love you.
