On a cold Kentucky night just before Christmas my wife and I are on our way to Buffalo NY and have car trouble, no heat to be exact. WE spent the night in a local motel and take our car in the next morning to have it looked at and repaired. The service dept says the heater core needs to be replaced as it is shot. Troy Campbell states when we had it repaired previously at another dealer in Mississippi they did not do a proper repair. When we get the car back from Campbell Chevrolet later in the day the heat is so hot coming out of the vents it would burn you. I asked the service advisor Jeff Hague is that normal. He said yup it's like a new system with the flush and new heater core installed. Note: The repair cost was $817. Give it a little while and it will cool down some, Jeff says. Trusting his word we head on down the road.

Now at this point we are a day behind in our vacation and already agitated as we were told by Campbell Chevrolet we not treated right at the previous dealer, but we have heat. Of course we are heading north on 65 with all the windows down in the middle of winter with no jackets on, and still sweating. People drivng by us looking at us as though we are nuts. After about an hour of this nonsense we try to turn the heat down to no avail. The only thing we can do is turn off the fan. I have not been home in a year and miss my family so we decide to keep going so as not to waste another day. Around three hours later we stop for gas and stretch our legs. I start the car and low and behold - NO HEAT! You can imagine our state of mind now. WE find a store purchase blankets, etc to bundle up as it is now after 7pm on the Friday before Christmas eve, there will not be adealership open now.

Off we go, chilled to the bone. We arrrive in Buffalo around 2a.m. luckly its only in the 30's. Monday Morniing Dec 26th we take it to a dealer in Buffalo, and they determine that there was poor workmanship done on it by Campbell Chevrolet, the heater core was incorrectly installed and broke the blend door and they also ask, what kind of flush did you pay for? It looks like Campbell Chevrolet did not do anything.

So my advice to anyone who is thinking of buying a vehicle from Campbell Chevrolet, think twice as there customer service and repair process leaves much to be desired.

We bought a car at Campbell several years ago and had an excellent experience. I am sorry for your bad one...did you contact the dealership to complain?

You have to be careful wherever you go to get your car repaired. Campbell Chevrolet and other dealers are notorius for overcharging especially out of towners. You should make amends at your local Chevrolet Dealership and also file a complaint with the BBB.

Huh!!!! You think you are the only person in the world that has had a bad experience in life. Grow up, S**T happens... Technicians are human also. Sounds like a selfish comment to get something for nothing. "EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES" Cry me a river, you possibly caused someone to loose there job at Christmas over a simple human mistake....

Sorry you left KY with cold feet, maybe that's an omen--- so stay away--- or realize people make mistakes and that your not the only egotistical PRC in the world.

P.S. Campbell Chevrolet has serviced my personal vehicles and my fleet for 9yrs, something has kept me coming back..

Some kind of "MISTAKE", that cost someone over 800 dollars, DON'T CALL IT A MISTAKE, CALL IT A RIP OFF, put things you say in a honest form, my friend, they may do good for you, but those people got RIPPED OFF, very dishonest business.

Sounds like personal bias. It is what it is. They had a less than competent person servicing their vehicle. What the dealer says now in response to the faulty repairs is the indicator if it was willful or just shotty work. Your taking it personal. This guy is acting partly out of emotion. Put yourself in his shoes.

Mistakes happen, we all realize that, but it is how you are treated after the mistake. Campbell made a big mistake on my vehicle and then would not take blame for it and cost me a lot of money. I live and work in BG and started driving to Rivergate to get my vehicle service. People make mistakes, but the company should cover the damages. Campbell Chevrolet treated me like ass!

P.S. something for Amazed, they call us hicks because we do shit like spell "a lot" as one word, not because we don't like Yankees!

I was test driving a car there and they told me to take it home and drive around in it. I done that and the next day went back to pick up MY car as I did not like the one I was test driving. They told me that they had already sold MY car and I would have to buy another car. I was young and believed everything they told me. So I bought the car I had test drove with a payment 45.00 more a month than I already had. A week later went back to have some stuff done to the new car and my old one was sitting in the parking lot. Needless to say I'm glad they didn't put me in jail for what I said to them. Although, I got stuck with the piece of shit they dumped on me.

I would have called the police and had them get your car back. They could not sell your car without you signing over the title. You didn't contact a Lawyer or call General Motros main office? I would have done that and got my car back.

At the time I was so mad that I never even thought about doing anything until it was to late. I don't know who they ever got to sign the title I know I never signed it.

Actually no it is not. I'm not concerned whether you believe me or not. I drove that car for 4 years because I could not trade it in because it wasn't worth no where near what I paid for it. The payment was 283.00 a month and in 1994 that was a lot of money for me.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Taurus

Keep calm! Your emotions are becoming increasingly heightened and intense today. As a result, you're likely to take things much more seriously than usual. That's wonderful if you're involved in a hot and heavy encounter with Mr or Ms Right, but it won't be such good news if you go overboard about silly trifles. If you're doing some last-minute shopping you'll want to be as extravagant as your budget allows. Or is it a case of Budget...? What budget?
