The average American doesn't like Congress. The approval rating for this Congress is by far the lowest ever.
You know you run a lame Congress when the same people who voted out the Republicans are voting out the Democrats in a big way.
The Democrats have shown us how to be stupid and lazy and still get a Congressional benefit package.

I favor a change to a parlimentary system like they have in most free countries. However, I am not expectant we will get it anytime soon because K Street likes things as they are.

With a lot of Teabagger nuts now in Congress, I have hopes Moran will be an adult like Bob Dole and Nancy Kassebaum were...unlike Pat Roberts, whose record in the House was reasonable, but who as a Senator has voted for every moronic right-wing thing that's come along. The report Moran "rolled his eyes" when an aide informed him that to beat the right-wing crook Todd Tihart in the primary he needed to describe himself as "conservative" and "pro-life" is certainly encouraging.

The guy who was President of the Student Council in my HS lives in Amsterdam but he votes absentee every two years, using his Dad's house as his domestic residence address.

To my current senater:
Due to the disaster in New York you guys not saying you in general, but decided to take away the local tv stations so that in the event that we have another dister told the cable companys that you need to go digital so that you can have the bandwith so that you all can make a call in the event of another horrific 9/11 again that you guys have access to use cell phones and reqired cable companys to go digital. Well if you live in a small town like Medicine Lodge, Ks. to get a digital antenna to recieve your local channels, or buy cable tv. Weel being in the cable industry for 12 years and had to set up my headends for digital only, I realized living in Medicine Lodge Ks, I tried to use the digital antennas to reciev my local channels, they don't work unless you live closer to Wichita Ks. There is several people that can't afford cable tv. And we wonder why last week so many peole got killed in tornados last week in Okand where else people can not afford to buy cable since there is no jobs, or disabled and don't recieve anofe money to afford the cable service to at least have the old PBS stations let alone the local channels, there is plenty of bancwith that you could have bought, but sold to cable companys to make a few million dollars now everybody is suffering because of that choice, you buy cable or look outside and see if a tornado is approceing. Its sad that last week the tornados killed so many people 30 some where if the goverment would have just stayed out of something the didn't even understand, there was plenty of bandwith to where we could still have our local channels and you could have not sold the bandwith we had. Another words give us back are local channels and buy your own bandwith it goes up to1000 megabits or more by now with the use of fiber!
