Had a run in with this guy the other day while traveling through Decatur to my hometown of Bowie. When did the City of Decatur lower their standards and hire moron's like this. Uniform was unkempt, and he stunk of cigerates. He also does not know the meaning of Probable Cause in my opinion, and I've done his job a lot longer than him. Its been 22 years since I've been back home and what a rude reception I get coming back. If this is the best the Citizens of Decatur can do these days in employing their public servants, then no wonder us hometown folk do not want to even come back that way. Decatur use to be a good town, maybe if the Citizens stand up and video this guy or elect a New Mayor to replace the Chief so the new one will get rid of this guy, they may start to put off a professional image again. I will not be coming back through their and will advise everyone I know in North Texas not to even do business their, and everyone else to by-pass Decatur.

TexasCountryBoy,

I feel exactly the same way as you do regarding this police officer. In fact, I am planning on building a case against him and would appreciate any testimony you would be able to provide regarding his credibility and prior infractions. Please contact me at your convenience.

Well, I have run into him also. What an asshole, to be blunt. And there is a female officer also, I got a name for her also. Gave me a ticket that was WAY out of whack... I WAS speeding, but she put it about 20 mph higher, then lied when I took it to court. She had a civilian in her car at the time also.... Rex, ya need to get a grip... this is 2009 not 1955 and folks hold cops accountable these days. First ticket in my life.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Cancer

It's a sensational Full Moon in your sign, combined with a lunar eclipse! Holy cow! However, once you accept that even the best-laid plans could go awry today, you'll find that life is a lot easier to cope with. Try your hardest to take everything in your stride, even if you do have to rethink an arrangement at the eleventh hour. At least it's never a dull moment! Do your best not to let the tensions of the day spoil what promises to be some spectacular New Year's Eve celebrations. It will be an opportunity to let off steam. Have fun!
