This man was told not to bury his wife in the front yard by the city councel but he did it anyway. Get your facts straight before you go bashing the city of Stevenson. He did it anyway and now he needs to obey the law and move her to a cemetery.

Bridgeport citizen, I've read that code, and the thing was that the mayor did not give Jim a good reason that he denied it, Jim had the health department come Out and approved it then went to the city. I know that the mayor had it in for Jim for running against him in the mayor race just the year before!

So why after all these years does he need to dig her up? Cause the court said too? They should fined him and let it go!!!! What if that was your mom or grandmother or greatgranny???

Jim is a good person and he loved his wife much that he wanted to give her her last wish!!!!!! Would you do the same?????

If Jim lived out in the country it would be a different story. Also - after he is gone and they tear his house down and all of his children are gone - who will take care of the grave? The city will move it anyway. Landowners around the house are concerned about their property value and for God's sake it is right beside a restaurant. I believe in giving people their dying wishes but I also believe in using a little common sense. When you bury someone - you lay them to "rest" not lay them and hope they get to stay there....

Just watching: the city councel told Mr. Davis he could not bury his wife there. Its doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Mr. Davis did this any way. Move this Lady to a cemetery or all the people in city limits can make graveyards in there yards.

THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST OST ANYONE COULD EVER WRITE. YOU HAVE TO BE THE MOST VULGAR . UNCARING AND ILL MANNER PERSON ALIVE. THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT IGNORANCE DID YOU EVEN KNOW MRS. DAVIS DO YOU EVEN CARE HOW HURTFUL THIS MIGHT BE TO HER CHILDREN OR ALL HER GRANDCHILDREN? PUT YOURSELF IN THIER SHOES WOULD YOU WANT YOUR 13 YEAR OLD GRANDCHILD TO HEAR SOMETHING THIS BAD ? OF COURSE ANY DECENT PERSON WOULDNT BUT THEN FROM YOUR POST WE ALL CAN SEE THAT DECENCEY IS NOT SOMETHING YOU ARE FAMILAR WITH. SO LET ME SPELL THIS OUT IN TERMS A STUPID PERSON CAN UNDERSTAND. I AM A GOOD FAMILY FRIEND OF THIS FAMILY AND THEY ARE GREAT PEOPLE AND MR. AND MRS. DAVIS HAVE HELPED ALOT OF PEOPLE IN THE STEVENSON SOME OF WHICH SIGHNED A PETITON AGAISNT THE GRAVESITE THIS IS SAD TO LET PEOPLE GIVE TO YOU THEN TURN AROUND AND WANT YOU TO BE REMOVED FROM YOUR GRAVE . BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE LIKE THIS . THESE FOLKS HAVE HURT NO ONE AND HAVE ASKED NOTHING FROM THIS COMMUNITY. MRS. DAVIS TRULEY THOUGHT THE TOWN OF STEVENSON WAS HER FRIENDS BUT SHE WAS SO NICE THAT SHE WAS BLIND TO THE CRUELNESS THAT WAS TO HAPPEN. SO ON BELHALF OF THE FAMILY IF YOU CANT BE APPROPRIATE THEN JUST BE QUIET..... THINK OF THOSE CHILDREN STILL LEFT.....

you don't have to be a close friend to know that the Davis family are good people. Keep your bad comment to yourselves and LEAVE THIS FAMILY ALONE.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Leo

You're in a very idealistic mood today, making it almost impossible for you to view loved ones in their true colors. If they've got any faults you won't see them because you'll have blanked them out. This rosy vision of your nearest and dearest is fine if it doesn't last long but it will cause problems if it persists and you continue to brush any problems under the carpet.
