Should Beckley -Raleigh CoBuilding Code Be Metro

Should all of Raleigh CO be under the city of Beckley.I don't think so.I don't want Beckley Mayor Puge to tax me in any way,shape,or form.I am totally against the Beckley metro system.I will never give my support to any Beckley-Raleigh Building Code System.They can't combine the two systems without our giving up our rights. The way the system would be set up there would be no oversight.This wil makes the seventh time we have voted the bill down.If it was a woman they would call it rape by now.What part of no do you not understand? It makes me mad for them to keep slipping around trying to pass a law that nobody wants.The only ones that want it is The City Of Beckley.What has Beckley done for us?Nothing..When you look at the way Beckley is run,who needs that corruption.Who pays for these good ideas the ones least able to pay.Join me and say no.

I don't really understand what all the fuss is about... What kind of rights are given up? How would this effect the rest of the county? Could someone fill me in?

well you don't know what a metro means then. Beckley can only tax beckley if you don't live in beckley you can't be taxed. I live in beckley and I think I pay like 40 bucks a year more cause I live in beckley, yet i get a cheaper insurance rate and other perks which add up to way more than 40 bucks. If we become a metro our statistics will show more people and land for business. This can attract more industries and jobs to the area, along with more grant and federal money. It will allow area ems, fire depts, and police to work together on emergencies. It can help these people to arrive quicker to accidents. It in no way will change how you are already taxed. Quit being dumba$$ rednecks and do some freaking research.

Also the building codes for the county and the city are already the same except for codes that are specific to city only like how close your fence can be to you neighbors house. idiots

I say lets keep our own money and don't depend on federal money or grants.Do you think federal grants or money is free money. It is money that has been taken away from you in the first place.The metro will not effect business coming to our state.Taxes is what keeps business out.The state government spending is out of control and basicly that what metro govnernment is another form of exteneding the tax base.Do you think Beckley can manage what they already have? As I look around I see wasteful practices everywhere in Beckley and you want us combined with you I don't think so! You are wanting everyone to pay for run off water.I don't want your hands in my pocket.Stay away from me. If I wanted to live in Beckley I would have moved there in the first place.SAY NO TO METRO.

Hey Bill there is 78,000 people in raliegh county more than enough. also during the day the pop. of beckley balloons to over 150,000. Ya'll all benefit from what beckley provides, yet all you want to do is talk smack without even understanding what the metro system is about.

There is no way you can draw a map to connect the 50,000 people that you say you needed before .You were not covering all of Raleigh County.Tell us all what good things the metro system and the Raleigh-Beckley Building code will do for the people of Raleigh couty.Tell us why this is should a good deal for everyone.If you can't what are you hiding.

Have the time on my hands for what?? I don't live in Beckley but I know the people your talking about....they are really good people. I do have a job...I would be willing to bet that I work alot harder than you do...and NO it's not on the street corner beside you...well nevermind...I'm sure no one would pay you for any "services" you would have to offer.
