Why did the mexican restaurant close

Anybody know~~

I heard that immigration came in.. but thats just hearsay.

The building was cursed and nearly condemned as unfit for a restaurant, and frankly it looked like crap from the outside, and Border Grill is a hell of a good fast Good Mexican and Taco Hell is a fast bad Mexican.

Before it was the Mexican place it was Clarks Landing and Steer and Stein.

The roof was massively bad and leaked every rain storm... They collected a fat insurance check and never bothered to replace or repair the roof.

(the former owner used the check to buy another property on 3rd street, he currently owns Vangos and the 3rd street mini mall and a dozen other properties around the city, the former owner was a tight wad that when you paid for your dinner with a credit card and included a tip, he kept the tip money till the end of the month before giving some of it to the waiters and bartenders, and he deducted the credit card processing fees, sometimes they would have large parties or banquets out there and there would be a $100-$500 tip... and once again he wouldn't give it out till a month had gone by, while his below minimum wage workers struggled to pay bills)

You could go out there during a rainstorm and count the buckets under the leaks. That costs a lot of money and health inspectors do not like that in an eating establishment.

I miss eating there. The food was wonderful. We don't have anything like it in Marquette.

I know..I miss it too. They should open up somewhere else. I also miss The Coney Joint.
