When I was just a young whipper-snapper there on the corner of US 41 and Earnest Johnson's Rd I lived on venison and Trenary toast. Trenary toast was called "Ffinnlander Bananas", and they were very good. I haven't had some for 55 years. We had them for breakfast with milk and it was called "korpu-mito". I have asked several folks if they make them anymore to no avail. I even put an order into the Trenary bakery and they weren't the same. Hep me out here folks, Jerry in Macon, GA

I love this toast too! When I was a kid we called it "jail toast"! LOL I live in Kentucky now and we never bring enough back home. It's gone in no time. It will be July before I enjoy this toast again.

I ate it about 30 yrs ago. I liked it. I use to live in Trenary, with my grandparents. Went to school there in the 70"s, loved that little town. Maybe we know each other ???. Thank y'all for the feedback on Trenary Toast. I have decides to go back home. Who says you can't go back. Back to Skandia, on the peaceful Chocoly River for the first time in in 55 years. Plan to have a drink at the
angry Beaver,(Whitetail Bar and Grill/Idle Time Bar, that is on a lot on my old farm where my old school stood, The Pioneer School. See Ya
