I disagree. When you go to work, leave buttons at home.

I agree with concerned, I believe the article said he was fired after he brought his bible to work. He wore the pin for 19 months. It became a problem when he brought his bible to work.??!!!

Read the article again, as below:

FF: Why do you think you were fired?

TK: "Because my pin read "Under God" on it. I brought my Bible to work to read alone and I never pushed my religion in anyone's face."

It had to do with the pin, even according to him. I do not want to be subjected to religious messages at Home Depot when I'm trying to buy hardware - that goes for Christian messages, Muslim messages, or Buddist messages. Leave religious beliefs out of the retail store or else I will take my business elsewhere.

When it come time to answer to your Heavenly Father, maybe, then HE will tell you to take your business elsewhere. God bless you and the young man that "stood up" for our Lord and Savior. HE died for all of us, why would anyone ever deny HIM? This man may have felt that acknowledging GOD was more important than the job??

Oh please, give me a break, and don't be so quick to pass judgement on me. Review your scripture, particularly Matthew 6:5. Public displays of religious fervor are not rewarded - they are their own reward.

Please re-read my post, I DO NOT pass judgement. I read KJV,review your scripture. Fervor implies much noise and commotion. I'm not sure this incident fits into that category. God Bless

Please define "subjected", as in "subjected to religous messages". How does someone subject you to a pin on his lapel? If you don't want to be subjected to religous messages, don't take time off from work at Christmas time. Don't go in any retail store then either, because you will surely be subjected to some more religous messages.
Get a grip.
