Some bar owners say no tribe casino in Sioux Falls

I think building a casino is a good idea, it would help bring in money for the tribe as well as create new jobs. But of course the racist people of sioux falls don't like the idea as usual.

Does Sioux Falls really need a Casino on each block? Are we trying to out-Vegas Los Vegas. I would hate to count all the bars and other drinking holes in town. When do we open up the brothels and legalize prostitution? The City Administration wants a metropolis, for a tax base I assume, so all of the above falls right into line with that thinking.

The town mayor convinced voters we desperately need an multimillion events center whose costs grows continuually and seems to be in jeopardy now because of the planned stadium for the Minnisota football team.

Well most of the casinos you people have are owned by the whiteman. What the tribe is trying to do is build a casino much better then those small places on every corner and near by gas station. Besides the city is not paying for it, the tribe is. Plus it would create alot of new jobs for the city and bring in more money for the tribe as well as the state. Food for Thought!

Let them build it and it will become a filty dump like Praire Winds.

You will find out if you read much of what is posted on this board that a lot of hate and racism comes out of the Native Americans toward the Whiteman. Yet they beg for help from the taxpayers (White men), while not appreciating it or being willing to do much for themselves. Generally it is a case of wanting someone else to come and do it for them.

I don't care what help is given, whether it is building public schools for them, public housing or helping them set up a casino, they will trash it and make a mess out of it. They will want “White men” to come to their casino and spend money, yet the racism flows. Likely if one traces the money back that built the casino’s it was done through Government Aid which was mostly provided by the taxpayers of which the majority of taxes are paid by White men.

Of course it makes them mad at me for saying so or to suggest that instead of sitting around bitching and whining for more, they should take a long look at themselves and start doing something about the well-known problems that are rampant on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Feeling sorry for them and letting them continue to live a welfare life where the problems never get corrected is not the wise way to go.

Any future help should be clearly tied to self-help where they must address the know problems and start showing a clear reduction in all the well-known problems. If they started with stopping the alcohol abuse that is the major cause of all the problems things would change and reservation life would get better.

They know that the problems exist and they will set and whine about it wanting more aid but when someone that is not Native American starts discussing their know problems and points to self-help the racism flows.

The racism shines bright tonight on building a casino. Build it, with tax payers money at least this tax money is for American citizens, true to the bone American citizens. Ater the raid on Osama Bin Ladans compound Hillary Clinton went there and gave this foreign government 12 million dollars. What did the American citizens get, the tax bill for this American governments give away money to foreign citizens. Oklahoma almost has a casino on every block more being built, I'm all for it, it is creating jobs, much needed jobs but there are those who can't control their gambling addition and then this is tax payers money paying for their cure. No one really wins in the long run but for the immediate time it is creating work for people who are willing to work. With all these casinos here in Oklahoma, well I don't go to them, the last casino I was in was at Deadwood "good old" South Dakota. To use food as an example..you might not like eating red meat, now because you don't why should every American stop eating red meat just because you don't.

Found the place to be a dump. It was filty and flys all over. The restrooms were beyond filty.

Maybe its better now but it was a filty mess and poorly run.

Yes, I am educated but I also miss spell words once in a while. I am part Native American. No I am not married to a Native American. I paid for my education by taking out a loan and paying it back.
The money sent to foreign countries has little or nothing to do with the issues here nor does the rest of the Pakistan or Bin Laden comments.
I have said many times that I am quite willing to help those in need if they are willing to help themselves. The problems of the Native Americans on the reservation are well known, have been studied and are backed up by facts. If problems are to be solved that are known to exist, then Native American themselves have to be willing to make some changes. Throwing good money after bad money don’t work any better on the reservation that it does when given to Pakistan.
As to my relationship with Native Americans, I am well acquainted with a number of educated Native American people who are holding high positions on the reservation. We speak of these very same issues on a regular basis. They maintain that it’s hard to make the population of the reservation make changes. But, they admit and know the very problems I speak of need to be addressed and changes made by the people themselves.
You say “Man up be a Warrior and face life”. I say that is what I have done. I speak the truth. I face the truth. For me as a Man I would be willing to face the known problems that address my people and make whatever changes were needed.
For me as a man and as a warrior the babies yet to be born are “Sacred” and the drunks and alcohol of today are not “sacred” in any manner.

I never said I was a Native American but that I have some Native American blood. I have said that it is not Sioux.

I am not bashing anyone. I point out the real facts and problems and clearly stated what can be done to correct the problems.

I havn't been to Praire Winds for quite a few years. I know that it has been updated and remodeled since I was there. I would admit that it likely was in the poorest condition when I was there.

I don't have a car load of young good looking women to take but I do have a wife of many years that is good looking and a pleasure to me, so I will take her.

I would suggest that at at your age you be careful in dealing with one gal on this board who is after you. You won't have much left to brag about if she gets ahold of you. But, like I have said she is all yours if you are dumb enough to let her take you. I would suggest that you stay off the booze when dealing with her.

From the nasty pictures she is butt ugly or what they call Coyote ugly. Coyote ugly is so ugly if you wake up in the morning with your arm under her you will cut off your arm to get away. So you have been warned.

I though still would suggest that you look for a Indian woman in Oklahoma. They are far better looking than the Sioux women are in my opinion. Most are cute when they are 15 and by 25 are fat and ugly. But each to their own taste I guess.
