Coach Rick Pitino opens door for Derrick Caracter's return to the U of L basketball team

This has got to be a freaking joke. How many chances does this guy get?

It's not a joke..it's a serious test for Caracter. If he can pay for his school and stay in shape own his own he deserves to be back on the team. We'll see what happens.

Look im a UK fan but im also someone who loves to see kids succeed. This kid though has spit on each and every chance he has gotten. He has a million dollar talent but a 10 cent head. I hope the best for him but i sincerly doubt he will do what he needs to do to get back...

I think we are missing the whole point that once again Pitino doesn't stick to his guns! He wasn't ever leaving U of K and He did! He had his dream job not once but twice in his quotes. He has said repeatedly that Caracter is not welcomed back-- he is not coming back--he has no spot on the team--- there is no room for him in their program and guess what? He's getting another chance. Give me a break--don't say things you are gonna regret!

I love DC!and i think everyone has a right to another chance. He obviously is a good player and good person at that so I think he should have the chance to shine and succeed.

rick pitino has turned in to a complete puss ,years ago he wouldnt allow one single fck up ,now hes giving retarded thugs who are only in school because of basketball 2nd and 3rd chances,,,,,caracter couldnt care less about his grades hes only there to play basketball and thats all.

DC should be given one more chance to succeed with this team...If he screws up once, kick him off...He's a force in the post, and could probably make everyone better. UNC would have trouble with him, Clark, and Samuels...The size is overpowering if DC doesn't get into foul trouble...
