After being in court for 6 years in divorce and child support issues, I can attest to the fact that the courts have some problems. My ex, Robert Eranio, has managed to skate through child abuse issues by his high-paying attorney constantly doing a smoke and mirrors act and pounding on the court that Mr. Eranio is a General Manager and a Publically Elected Official. I found Child Protective Services to be very non-chalant, child support services to be less than helpful even when given proof of incomes, and one of the commissioners was so involved in his personal issues that he never looked at the black and white issue in front of him. He was fired and then allowed to resign a few weeks after his judgement of my case (this seems common practice among higher ups... see below statement about Mr. Eranio).

Can someone tell me why people in publically elected positions seem to get breaks? Why after committing sexual harrassment, they are allowed to resign rather than be prosecuted? Why judges can claim numerous accounts of child abuse and nothing gets done? Why the DAs decided to wait to prosecute until something else comes up... it did, sexual harrassment... but then, he was allowed to resign.

I've got proof of perjury on numerous occasions and no one does anything about it. My children were beaten and it is in public records that it happened and yet there was never any accountability.

Ventura County needs a chapter of California Protective Parents! We need to have someone who understands what it is to have a person that makes a lot of money use that to attack the person who is trying to protect the children. As far as I understood it, Family Law and the divorce courts were about protecting children... my experience is he who has the most money can bend the rules however he wants.

So, in a nutshell... the court system should be called the Hall of Injustice.

I am going through the same thing. My ex acted conspiracy with a third party to make me look unfit. I was very worried about not being heard and I still am. Child Support services does absolutely nothing, I wrote my own motion to get support increased which he still doesn't pay. It's a joke. I thought if you were on probation that not paying support was in violation, I was wrong. They are just slapping him and hitting me harder.

I've filed a guardianship for two relative children that have been through years of off and on again drug abuse, physical, sexual, emotional, etc. abuse. One of these children was previously placed with her father, and essentially placed into a crack house, then (even while the family continued to collect welfare, they ran to Mexico with her, and it took quite a bot of money, time and effort to get her back in the USA.

I was urged by a friend, who is a psychologist, to look up licensing of one particular social worker that is apparently currently involved in the case now, and although I've only spoken to her once on the phone, the call was quite bizzarre, and it seemed like she was saying certain things as if she had someone listening and she was trying to get them to believe that she was trying to convey something very different. She was rude, unprofessional, and kept bringing up her won personal problems when I did talk to her, and she never showed to two appointments with me, and she left me with and I'll talk to you next week maybe, then I'll talk to you tomorrow.

I didn't think much about the license look-up, but again was strongly urged to check her license status, and now I think I know why...

The "CPS" so-called "Social Worker", through the County of Ventura, has an expired license with the state that was canceled more than 12 years ago. Another one has no record of even an internship with ANY social services-type licensing in the state, yet I am told she's been with the county for approximately 20 years, working in &/or near CPS for this county.

It is no wonder that children die under the "watchful eye" of these people! I have heard of quite a few children dying, not only in Ventura county, but also in others as well. Part of the problem is that when so-called "Social Workers" work under a county or public entity, they are apparently only required to be licensed by the state if the county says they must be.In Ventura county, I'm old they are on the phone, but then looking at their web site, I do not see any such requirements, as long as they are closely supervised.

The County of Ventura needs to clean house of unqualified and unlicensed "Social Workers" that are the first responders in any CPS case.

We do not need to see any more children maimed or killed because of their negligence! I fear, and have warned the "social worker" today (Sept. 30, 2008), that the two relative children are in danger, as one of their fathers is back in the picture, and their is a CPO against him (Criminal Protective Order.) This "social worker" seems to think that because the mother's last boyfriend has been arrested, that the kids are fine. They are most certainly not! The mother's old boyfriend, a father of one of these children, has shown up since the newer boyfriend went to jail, and he nearly killed the mother twice, and harmed his own son in the process. He has also been observed both physically and emotionally abusing the older daughter of the mother, to whom he has no relation.

What crap! Family law court is a sham. If you can't afford an attorney you can't respond to the TRO. The accused enters the court guilty as charged. Hey how about a trial? With American jurisprudence. The plaintiff can make any false allegation without penalty of perjury! I wonder how many a year have their records smeared, get harassed by the police and are left with a damaged police record. This record then goes on to every other law enforcement system. Thank you! When women used to cry rape men were punished unfairly in a large number of cases. DNA stopped that. Why not use the double blind polygraph tests proposed by Jonathan Marin? And expunge the record of all first time RO's if there are no violations and no previous. Look, if someone truly deserves a RO they deserve jail! I know my RO was forced on to the commissioner by the powerful father of a daughter that is an extreme bipolar. How about psychiatric exams paid by the court. If the accuser is wrong fine them and jail them. If the accused is guilty throw them in jail. I have no use for physical violence or intimadation. Thanks. Sign me exasperated!

Still alive kicking and screaming out for justice..
cps and probation telling me conflicting stories and misinforming me.. not allowing me to speak during court hearing for my child who by the way was arrested , put in cuffs , in her bed clothes... the police allowed male adult neighbors to gawk and laugh as her top fell down several times. officer would not allow me to get her proper clothing. Where are the childs rights to privacy. police let my child be viewed as they would child porno.

no no no try to get to a different county judge look them up on internet...ventura is very corrupt county... the more children removed from their homes and put into"protective custody" the more title IV funding the county workers receive. plus there are bonuses involved when they put more children in foster homes or are adopted out. beware of a social worker by the name of ester olifson...she makes mistakes and lies to cover herself...if you get a public defender named robert garcia...stay on top of your case yourself...do your homework...document everything!.record all meetings, with pd and cps and aways bring a friend with you so you will always have a witness...join up with cpsvictim.com ..stay strong...dont volunteer to give info...make them do their own work..watch for tricky language,,dont get mad...good luck to you...dont forget...use the internet...put their names out there....hold your head up high and fight fight fight....CYNTHIA

Te whole cps in vta is corrupt. they stole my last 2 kids based on my past that was nearly 10yrs ago.i did everything and then some to show i am changed and it wasnt enuff. they put up r baby for adoption saying the dad who has a clean record and custody of r son thru them wasnt able to raise both cuz they are 14 mths apart. and that would pose a risk. i moved out of that county and recommnd to all.and pray they will be found out of being corrupt.good luck to all!
