Embattled school chief to resign

It is sad to see that Ms. Essenmacher has become the latest victim of the Sandusky School Boards' practice of "micro management". It appears that the board members are much more concerned with the daily operations of the district as opposed to the real purpose of the board which traditionally has been to establish policy and employ administrators to carry out that policy. It would seem from various press accounts that the Sandusky board, and the board president in particular, would rather run the entire show from the board room. Historically this has not proven to be an effective method of managing the educational process and I doubt that anything which takes place in Sandusky will prove to be a viable alternative. Successful education cannot happen in the midst of upheaval.

Hopefully Ms. Essenmacher will find her new position to be much more rewarding. She deserves nothing less!

I really wish the people of this school system would wake up to the facts the board president was fire for illegal actions at his job. I understand that he is in the process of losing his house. And it is a well know fact with the staff the he and his right hand man Jeff Keys were the ones that broke into the ISD when Brian was stalking Mr. Parker who was the Superintendent of the ISD. And there is the little know fact of the illegal tapeing that Jeff was doing for Brian. I would incourage you to vote for Mr. Davidson for board president so he can investigate this and put Brian and Jeff where they need to be in JAIL.
