I got a big kick out of the recent article regarding the county commissioners talking about the relatively low cost of the public reception for the La Plata County Manager candidates.
Funny how the commissioners failed to say how much it cost La Plata County to transport 5 candidates from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY to and from Durango ......and to pay for 3 NIGHTS OF LODGING at a very nice hotel. I'm certain the county's human resources department would be able to come up with that figure.
The county attorney is asleep at the wheel..... and the county commissioners are walking all over La Plata County taxpayers.
Thanks to the Durango Herald for keeping this in the news.
