40,000 new laws in 2011 alone...after you read and understand all of those, feel free to add another?

Maybe having the right to hunt and fish will stop the certain groups from preventing hunting on Sunday in the upper part of the State? I wonder why hunting is banned and not fishing in the upper part of the State on Sunday?

This is an attempt to prevent the Federal Government from limiting or outright banning hunting in the state, which they are claiming the right to do under the new food safety act. Under the same act the Federal Gov. can prevent you from collecting seeds, growing a garden and storing more than a small amount of food.

Other states have done the same or are starting to do the same. Sounds like alot of political hype for nothing. Other than public game management land, no one grants me or any land owner the right to hunt their own private land. Be careful , they say history repeats itself. Let us not forget that people fled their homeland and setteled/formed america for several reasons like this.

CitizenTopix wrote: The South Carolina Hunting and Fishing Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, is a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. If enacted, the measure would allow residents in the state the right to hunt and fish. Although South Carolina residents have this right, the measure was proposed in order to solidify that right, according to proponents. A "YES" vote will make it a constitutional right for citizens to hunt and fish and will permit the State to legally provide for proper wildlife management and the protection of private property rights. How will you vote on November 2nd? TAX AND SPEND DEMOCRAT Mike Hunt just has a high school degree and we're paying this uneducated SOB $100,000 per year to be our sheriff while he spends most of his time at the Clearwater Fire Department. Also, Mike Hunt is not a Republican as evidenced by his tax and spend conduct/record over the last 10 years. Every year he wants more money to run the sheriff's office now topping over $15,000,000 (1/3 of Aiken County's entire General Fund), he supported every proposed tax increase to include the local sales option tax, increases in our property taxes, etc. He's nothing more than a tax and spend Democrat (a so-called Republican in sheep's clothing). This guy is a liar, criminal and no-good bum. He even took money from the good folks in Graniteville which they should have received to buy more cop cars which he didn't even need. Too many deputy cars in Aiken County given the actual low crime rate we experience. This man is a tax and spend Democrat and represents a cancer out of control leading our sheriff's department - look at his record. This moron can't even keep track of his illegal throw down gun which was left unsecured in his car and then stolen. He should have been charged with failure to secure his firearm for this incident. Thank God they indicted this criminal for murder which was absolutely justified since he unloaded all rounds from his Ruger 9mm when he was alleged to have committed the murder of Thomas Lewis.

I would rather vote to let DNR set limits and seasons. Instead of politicians that have no clue. get rid of the General Assembly.
