Why didn't they mention the Beltway? Isn't it the root cause of all the traffic problems here. Why don't they "take the bull by the horns" and fix it??? Why do they skirt the issue? That road is the major problem here. Eveything else is secondary to that road.

Why can't they get the funding and add more lanes to the road?
Why can't they get the funding to possibly add a 2nd bridge to assist the American Legion Bridge?
Why can't they get the funding to accelerate the development of the Intercounty connector?
Why is there no work done on possibly adding a new highway that was supposed to connect NY Avenue directly to I95? Wouldn't development of that road, that was part of the master plan for the Beltway, alleviated many of the traffic problems we experience today?
Why has the Maryland Transportation Authority allowed these transportation issues to persist for the last 20 years, to allow them to grow to be such a major quality of life issue? Should certain elected officials be held accountabe? Don't we as taxpayers deserve some service for what we pay?

Maryland, DC, and Virginia are not going away. Our elected officials and Government Agencies are supposed to to have development plans to support our future transporation needs. It is has not been done. It is digusting out Nations Capital is rated one of the worst in traffic nightmares for the country. There should be accuntability for this.
