i don't know if you're familiar with smokers boxing, but in smokers you take on all comers, no matter how big or small, for 3 rounds and you stay in the ring until you've either been knocked out or nobody wants to get into the ring with you.

anyway, i boxed smokers in the navy for 3 years and never got knocked down... but once. it was in a fight that i thought would probably be one of the easiest ones i'd ever had... i mean, wow. the guy was all of about 5'3" and 129# and i wasn't even tired. the bell rang and i thought that i had jammed my face in a fan. in fact, he hit me so hard, so fast and so many times that i didn't know where to hurt first. i woke up a couple of hours later in sick bay.

i learned something that day... things aren't always as easy as they look.
