I AM AMAZED AT THIS STORY. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF SMOKEY WAS A STALLION, CUZ STALLIONS OR STUD HORSES WILL PROTECT THEIR YOUNG ONES JUST AS MUCH AS THE MOTHERS DO IF NOT PROTECT BETTER. THIS STORY REMINDS ME OF THE WALT DESINEY MOVIE SPIRIT, STALLION OF THE CINMERON.

Mr Connors wrote: <quoted text> 9News reports what their viewers are interested in. Since most of their veiwers are women and half-wits, you see two to five animal stories per day. Look at the Topix comments. Virtually nobody comments on the hard news stories, but if somebody kicks a dog, you will see a hundred kooks demanding that this person spend the next ten years in prison. Aside from myself, most people who watch or read 9News are idiots. Since 9 news is so bad, why don't you watch something else, in fact why don't you GO someplace else? Like out of the country!

I am sorry for your colt's injuries and am glad he will be OK, but it is nice to know that someone else out there is at ease with nature and other living creatures on our planet. We are definitely in other animals' original habitat out in the country. The lion was doing what lions do. I agree and praise you for your outlook. So many just want to destroy everything in sight.

Mr Connors wrote: <quoted text> Of course it's redundant. When speaking to half-wits, it's important to repeat ones point several times. When writing, two or three times is sufficient. So everybody make sure you make your point 5-6 times so Mr. Connors understands it

You know, some of us are horse owners in this state and we do want to know when horses are attacked and how to keep them safe. The media does not spend a fraction of the news time on animals as they do on sports coverage...which I could care less about. So...you know...the news belongs to the masses not to one individual. If you aren't interested, don't watch it or don't read about it, like I do. It's pretty simple.

Mr Connors wrote: <quoted text> If you knew me, you wouldn't ask that question. You would just bow and admire. I really love this guy Mr Connors... The people like him make these forums extremely entertaining - did you notice how naturally the whole conversation turned into the debates with him and about his outstanding comments? Forget the colt, this is MR Connors Show! Well, he should be very proud of himself, eventually.

It is a heart breaking picture - the injured colt in the blood covered T-shirt. I hope the baby horse can make it.

40 acres is not a "ranch." It's a yuppie ranchette.

How refreshing to hear acknowledgment that the mtn. lion actually has a right to be there.
Compare Kirk's statements with all the ignorance generally spewed from those living in Boulder and Jefferson counties.
