Now that we have heard from those who don't have A CLU (a clue for those of you who posted above), lets hear from others who have a valid but opposing opinion.

Even whites hate racial profiling. Every time the LBPD sees me, they pull me over to make sure I'm paying my taxes in order to support all the government handout programs.

I respect the NAACP their not the issue any more. It is the undocumented people their or many more than the Government says. They are taking center stage as our State has not cut their 13 billion budget. We have to address this issue so we can get bact to taking care of our citizens.

Although I am relative new to the PT's blogs, I have made a couple of observations (yes, I am a detective and a hard working stiff). There are the same few individuals who use this site to take shots at LBPD and its Administration. I believe that the same individuals are either current or former employess who are so bitter, that they need to "get a life".

They hide behind the annonymous system and never learned the basics of being civil. What gets me is that someday, you will be asked about your lack of diplomacy, racisim and bigotry. One day, you will be held accountable for your actions. When that day comes, "stand by".

In the meantime, continue to spew your hate and misfortune. You must really be a miserable human being and really need to take an introspective look at yourself.

After serving for over 25 years, I am proud of the LBPD and the many hard working "LOYAL" men and women. This Administration has gotten much more for us employees than any other time in history. If you bitter ones are current members, and you "aint" happy, then get out of the kitchen, unless you want to get a taste for what real heat will be like later in life.

To "Get a Life"
Can't listen to a little criticism? That is a lot if the problem, the fab four at the top can't take it. They are so worried about every appearance and perception that they spend all their time chasing their tails. Some of us current employees can't speak for fear of retribution. Although we may win a suit with the track record of LBPD fab four..... Maybe you are one of them...
If you can't handle some feedback don't read it, or open your eyes and really pay attention. What a house of cards we live in...worst since the Bink!

And some of us hardworking employees are just sick & tired of hearing people moan about racial profiling when nothing could be further than the truth. LBPD detains people based on legal probable cause, not racial profiling. LBPD has never used racial profiling & never will. People need to stop making excuses for criminal behavior. 99.999999% of those claiming racial profiling have no idea what it really is.

Knuckles,

With all due respect, while it may never have been the policy of the department, it clearly has been practiced in this department. Racial profiling I mean. I agree that it doesn't happen to the degree that people complain, and it is probably because they don't know what it means, BUT as we learned at our racial profiling class a couple of years ago..."perception is reality".

True true Barack. Also we have had plenty of examples of gender harrassment, homophobia and domestic violence within our own ranks...all ranks!

To "Whatsa Matter".....Criticism is fine, but the chronic bigoted negative comments get old. My eyes are open, my ears are open and my heart is open. What I hear and see is the best department around. Too bad you are so miserable.

To "Barack".....Amen! These guys need to get a clue.

I don't get the "bigoted" comment that you keep making. I'm talking about our top command people, not all them of course, but the basic way they have tereated people, a lot of favoritism and a lot of self serving actions...some hypocracy. I certainly have not made racist or bigoted comments so don't play that ruse...

The other thing is that I am not miserable at all. I have plenty to keep me busy outside the department and am not cynical like a lot of our people get. You may just be trying to find an easy label to kiss off what I say.

For some reason you are good with the brass, maybe you are one. That's ok but I would submit that there is a lack of leadership and a lot of CYA.

Keep up the good police work. KMA651

Hey Matta....are you in a time warp or just not educated? Politics drives alot of what we and every police agency does. I have seen many changes in the last 25 years and you just have to "roll with the punches". Policing changes every day. If you think policing is stagnant, then your in for a long frustrating career. No I'm not brass, but smart enough to know and APPRECIATE a job I would have given my "left nut" for.

It seems like you have forgotten why we entered this admirable profession. Its not about us, its about the people, all people, inside our department and outside!!

I absolutely disagree. Are you sure you know what racial profiling is? I have never seen it done. I have never heard officers discuss doing it. Not even over a beer. Can you point to a specific incident? Do not confuse racial profiling with criminal profiling. They are two very different things.

Well it looks like I was censored for some reason. Truth must hurt for Luna and his gang. if you cross them, even trying to do the right thing, they remember and your career can be jeappordized. That's just the way they operate and I don't like it. I've seen it and hope it doesn't happen to me. I just do my job and keeping puttin the bad guys in jail. That is fun.

What I'd like to know is why the LBPD go out of their way to aid a vendictive drug dealer, a resident of Belmont Shores, who beats women and threatens them with violence, files false and fraudulent police reports agains his x girlfriend just because she knows too much about his illegal activiites- yea, they throw the x g/f in jail because this buttwipe pretends he being harassed by her, he just wanted revenge, and wanted to be sure no one would believe her when she reported his drug dealing, illegal gambling and tax fraud...

She was framed, set up, kind of like how the Fullerton Teacher was just framed by his vendictive x, who had been calling the Police with many false reports, trying to frame him until finally! but lucky for him the PD believed he was a victim of a set up. LBPD arent' so smart, they abtually went along with this drug dealer and his vengeful x-wife out to FRAME his x g/f.
This creep used her credit card, left planted email and cell phone at her house so his buddy this very gullable DV cop to find. and low and behold they arrest the x g/f file charges with the local clowns at the Prosecutors office, yea, I'm talking about Tom Reeves' clowns - so stupid they actually took the word of these cons!....

The DV Cop who did all this. Donald Wood, LIED to a Judge to get a Search Warrant. LIED! Viololated her rights! Perjured himself for his buddy, the drug dealer. There is so much evidence that he lied it isn't funny!!! But the idiot Judge who signed the warrant didn't bother to ask for one shred of proof of his false allegations! NOT ONE. We know he didn't because there isn't any, in fact there is evidence to the contrary. But becase this all went down in DV court No ONE would touch it. The littly whinny baby fake "victim" got away with it.
I think the LB Detectives need to take a serious look into the Fullerton PD, do some training, think beyond planted evidence! the guys a dirtbag.

Peoples' rights are violated all day long in the LBC and it doesn't matter what race you are, did I mention the x g/f was white?

Probable cause my A$$! A local drug dealer - please see comment above- calls in because he sees his x-g/f on 2nd street doing business as usual, and with her new b/f- he can't handle it, and becomes furrious!- so he files a false police report that she is "stalking him" - right in her own neighborhood!!!!- then files another FALSE police report that his x-g/f Hacked into his Corporate email account!- yea right - never happened!- then files another FALSE police report that the x-g/f placed a GPS tracking devise on his truck! Right again!- never happened!!

This dirty cop KNEW all this crap was a lie, whet in and managed to obtain a search warrant simply because this dumba$$ and his x-wife started sending him email pretending they were the x-g/f.
Such bull - It was absolute fraud, the cop knew it was a lie, there was an email from this idiots work that said - HIS ACOUNT WAS NEVER HACKED!- this dirty cop checked this clowns truck and THERE WAS NO TRACKING UNIT ON HIS TRUCK - so he lied.

There was no Probably cause for him to invade her privacy! He should have thrown this idiot in jail for filing all the false police reports he kept filing. But he didn't. All we can think is he's taking money from this guys drug dealing or doing the illegal sports betting with him and wanted him to keep his day job.

Way to go LBPD!

If your referring to my previous post, you can bet your sweet a$$ their version of the "facts" are different. They don't want to know what the "facts" are. They take the word of this scam artist and never bother to check out the real story, the real motive behind this jerks little scam. If anyone's thinking with a "little brain" it's the stupid detective who went out of his way for some vendictive moron who cryed wolf because he couldn't stand to see his x-g/f with another man!
