New school funding

State funding of our public schools is dramatically inadequate. Even without the recurrent budget shortfalls in Sacramento, we cannot expect state funding to increase significantly anytime soon.

Hate to disappoint you but, God has no say in law. Man determines what, where, when, and who.

I don't know the Brumder's but wonder why the are not satisfied that the gov't is only taking significantly more than 50% of every dollor I earn for taxes. How much more can I be expected to pay before I simply decide to not earn money just to support the gov't. Just how much is enough. If I simply paid income taxes (over 40% betwenn the federal and state Gov't) I would not mind a little raise. But I also pay Social Security (both sides since I am self employed plus medicaid) another 15% Next I pay property taxes, sales taxes, gasoline taxes, the list is already endless. I am sorry that our so called state leaders cannot live within there means, but somewhere it has got to stop. NO NEW TAXES

I agree, we are taxes to the hilt!
Stop spending! Can't please everyone. So, you've got to stop non-essential spending and get things back in order.

Leadership, contrary to what the Brumder's think, is not curing overspending by government by finding new ways to raise our taxes. If the Brumder's are so passionate about education, I am sure the PEF or better yet, the PUSD itself, would be happy to accept their direct donation. As for my already stretched wallet, get your hands off!!!

I would like to ask Mr. Barrios exactly what "moral authority" would do to stop islamic extremists from trying to install sharia over the entire globe?
