Do you think section 8 housing causes neighborhoods to go downhill and just brings in undisirables to townships ?

We have 3 such properties within 600' of our home; none are maintained, esp. outside where leaves and trash blow onto adjoining properrties continuusly, all year around... occupants say that the owner said he or she would have lawn (mostly weeds) mowed weekly and area cleaned up as needed, but it never is done, by anyone. And the occupants do not clean up trash from their overflowing cans or bags left out by the curb the DAY AFTER the Monday trash collection!
If I ever put our home up for sale, I know what the selling agent will say about the value....
In Folsom's CL area, the council and mayor need to drive around; none do except as they say in meetings, "...I was down there a few yrs ago when I was running for office..." When someone mentions it to them, they say, call the Clerk and tell them... well, we did for years and sent 4 letters, all iggied by Council & Mayor; Clerk @ the time said she passed them on to the Council, but....
I know she did, because the Road Crew Supervisor (at that time) said he saw the letter and pics we attached. I know nothing was done; prop owners and renters were not notified.
Well, the Clerk does a lot, but these guys need to get out and look; but since nearly all work and prob don't have time, they should step down and let someone else run for office who has or WILL MAKE TIME to take a tour.
Maybe I'll take a few bags of trash & leaves I collect this Tuesday (the day After trash collection)and drop them off ... at someone's home.

The problem is that you are dependent on the government. Just gather up some of your friends and knock on their door. Do this repeatedly if necessary. You really don't have to do anything other then tell them to clean up. I've had terrible neighbors move because of my persistence about their trash, unleased dogs and loud music. Don't give up.

Welfare recipients should be responsible for the upkeep of section 8 housing in which they live. They should be fined if they fail to do so. Entitled mfers! Scum bags!

Landlords are just as guilty as section 8 government dependents.

True. Norristown's biggest slumlord owns 75% of the section 8 housing and could care less about fixing anything for them!
