I went to school in Berlin which is now I think a state drivers place. There was 2 schools,1 in back of the other and I went to the back one. Mr Lord was our teacher. When we graduated from there one of the students father owned the drug store and had all of us there for sundaes. I remember the Behnkes, Wilsons, Pat Zein, dont remember all the names anymore of our neighbors who lived on Malan Ave. The taxi stand was in the middle of the town and we use to ride over to Berlin park where we went swiming. The life guard at that time was Joe Fabrico. We played kickball all the time at the park. A dance was held at some times at the entrance to the park. One of the Behnkes was the chief of police at that time. I think the folks who stayed at Berlin instead of moving away were really lucky, they really had a place to call home.

I was in my early 20s when I moved to Berlin in the mid-1970s. (I grew up in Clementon.) Nevertheless, the few years that I lived there, I spent much of it at Berlin Farmers Market--I remember when they had an auction with a humorous Scotsman as the auctioneer. I tried to play tennis in Berlin Park, and I've walked to downtown Berlin from my former home on Harker Ave. Those were the last of my innocent years before I moved out of my parents' house in 1981 and to another town. I now have my address in Haddonfield.

Despite what this column says, my address is now in Haddonfield, NJ, not PA. Check out my web site by typing "Dotty's Dimensions" on Google. Anyhow, I still visit Berlin Farmers' Market from time to time.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Taurus

Make a big effort to spend time with people you didn't see on Christmas Day, especially if they're older than you or are having a bad time at the moment. You're brimming over with compassion and empathy, which will be really appreciated by anyone who's on the receiving end of them. You're also in the mood to make allowances for people, and that will help enormously.
