why are so many police officers leaving auburn

Who cares why they are going as long as they go. Except for Dan, of course...

Excuse me but no one has to get nasty here. The name calling is uncalled for. Brent is a nice guy just trying to do his job and as for the firemen that's all their trying to do also. Maybe Fettish and Kingspade should take a good look at themselves.

does it really matter if they are "hot" in their uniforms?? Isn't the point of their job to protect and serve not to look good? I know some of the police officers are fat ugly and disgusting but they are amazing officers!! This site is really getting petty and immature...

As for Brent being bald. Bald IS SEXY on some people and he is one of them. And as for some officers being fat and ugly that is ignorance. It's what is on the inside that counts. People need to look deeper within instead of on the outside. BIG PEOPLE have fealings too!!

actually i am on here because I just moved to this "town" and started reading these comments to see if my first impressions about this town were correct. which they are. Also I was interested to see what people were saying about family members working in auburn. AND I am aware BIG PEOPLE have feelings too because I AM ONE!! ALL I was trying to say is that who gives a crap what they look like in uniform it doesn't matter as long as they do their job well. If you could extract your head from your buttocks and re-read what I wrote...thats what it says. Perhaps you need a higher IQ than an ant to understand that! Thanks!!

little birdie, I also heard this which one have you heard about. The one that I heard about is just plain wrong that he is leaving and for the reasons. To the other one that might be leaving don't let the door hit you in the !!!!

The night Charlie Starkweather started his killing spree in Lincoln, there were three officers on duty. One at the station house, and two in patrol cars. Now there are three officers on every street corner, and they think nothing of harrassing the public with obscure, niggling little ordinances. My, how things have changed. When I was a kid, there was one officer on duty at the police station at night, and he was an old man who answered the phone LOL.

How many actual city officers are there?

The good ones leave because they realize that they and their families will make more money and have more benefits than are avaliable down here and the bad ones either get fired or asked to leave and unfortunately get recycled into smaller departments - and even Auburn is not immune to hiring the recycled bad ones. If we payed the good ones more then they might stay and if we dont then we get what we pay for.
