Apparently you haven't talked to anyone from Rockport and you do not know much about wind turbines. Rockport residents were told the power rates would go down...They didn't....Wind turbines are a joke and are not cost efficient. Do some research.

all i can say is look at rockport, wind power is the way to go, not hot air like most of these posts.

Good to know that BPW has 8 million in the bank! Overcharging CONFIRMED!!!!!!
That money is there to protect the citizens that the BPW serves. They have accumulated that money over 15 yrs and the money is used for more than auburn. it includes johnson brownville peru and nemaha. That has "CONFIRMED" nothing!!!! read all the facts!!! If that money isnt there and we get an ice storm this winter that knocks out your power, guess were the money will come from to get your power back up and running??!! We enjoy some of the lowest rates on our energy in the state.

I do know about how much the Board has in the bank. A lot of people in Auburn do or at least have heard. They have it there for a reason. I didn't see the Mayor putting it there... Why waste that money? Auburn WILL need it one of these days. This goes to show how much you know. What the Mayor wants to waste it on is something else. Why don't he just do something to get money for his projects? A benefit or something? For a common sense doctor, you sure don't know a lot about what you talk about. You must be one bored sit at home on the computer person with no life of your own. I notice that you HAVE to comment on everything. Wow what a hobby! Check some of your facts and know more before you comment on something, ok.
You're obviously too dense to understand my post. I never suggested we spend the money on anything. I made a simple objective statement, and you and your mentally handicapped brother Serious come down on my like a ton of bricks. For your information, although I would imagine you'll have a difficult time wrapping your brain around this...I spend less than five minutes every day or two on Topix. I don't have to check facts, because I didn't use any, nor did I need to.

Yes, Rock Port received a nice hefty rate hike as soon as the windmills went online.

They always say “You can be good without God.” In a mindless universe, there can be no good ….. or any bad. If there is no ultimate authority, good and bad is up to each individual. If somebody thinks mass murder is a good thing, who‘s to say it isn’t? Somebody else might say it‘s bad but that’s just two differing opinions. So no, you can’t be “good” without God.

Beautiful!!..agree 100%. It is not religion; it is spirituality, and personal relationship with Jesus.

If the Gospel of Our Lord is to be taken as the guidebook, or entrance guide in to Heaven then how could any Church that does not follow the path determined by God succeed in promoting salvation?

Perhaps Purgatory is for those who are in the “right Church wrong Pew” category with a true and honest belief of Jesus Christ’s divinity but find His instructions too uncomfortable to fully embrace so they let themselves believe that Salvation is assured (and it may be) because they are faithful and devout in their own way. They may not even realize that what they are doing is not, precisely, what Jesus asked or intended. Certainly the devout Jew will not burn in Hell, though they may (or may not) find that their road to Heaven continues longer due to the beliefs held by their fathers.

First off Seriously, I never said I didn't understand why the money was in the bank. You just assume I don't. I also never called it spending money. If you can't understand my postings, don't read them. Second, whomever posted as C Sense or whatever is NOT ME. I never said what C Sense posted. That being said, your grammar and spelling are simply awful. You must have gone to school at AHS...
Your end on this Earth can be the beginning of Life Everlasting or it can follow another path, even one which ends in final Death. Back to the dust from which you came. When did Jesus speak of Martin Luther?

I don't want to go to heaven. I want to just slip away into nothingness. Heaven is for those who are so desperate to cheat death that they'll believe anything. Good for them. An eternity with Christians would be a living hell for some of the rest of us.

I see after reading the local paper that the mayor is still stiring the pot. You would think that after the city council meeting that he would get the message leave the Board alone.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
