$100,000.00 fine...are you serious!! She would be unable to pay if it was only $100.00.
Sentencing her to 25 years in prison. Now that is something she is certainly able to do, more importantly, it's what she should do.

25 years? She won't get 25 years. I have a better chance of turning into a pumpkin than she does of getting 25 years.

Yolanda, you think it's going to help if she just goes to REHAB? She killed two of her children. Seriously? How stupid can you get?
This woman doesn't need 25 years, she deserves a life sentance. Because this is just rediculous.

There is no excuse for this to have happened twice...same scenario...drunk and co-sleeping. The hospitals educate all postpartum patients on the dangers of co-sleeping. Hospitals and Fire departments have been known to give away free pack-n-plays for infants to have a safe place to sleep. Clearly a crime has been committed and I hope the judge hands down the maximum sentence because the community needs to get the message that if parents have drug or alcohol issues, then they are not fit to be parents. They need to seek help, or give these kids up for adoption. More outrage was shown in the Michael Vick case r/t cruelty to animals than is shown over neglect and cruelty to children, or in this case, where a child is killed.

I can't understand sleeping with an infant after drinking or even driking while you are a mother of an infant. She needs the 25-years and justice will be served for the 6 day old baby. Oh, my GOD.

How can she be allowed to have any more kids? If the incident with her 2 month old daughter the first time around so "criminal" why was she not forced to give up those kids. I believe in sterilization. Something that could have prevented another horrible death. I believe in eye for an eye when it comes to kids!

1st of im not here to take sides but she is not the type of person you people are making her out to be. she is a really nice women and she takes care of all of her children alone, she does not have 6 baby's fathers. i say she needs help but for you people to make her look like an animal is unexceptable. she is wrong for going out and drinking and thinking that she would be able to care for these children under those circumstances but we all make mistakes. she did not kill those children. the same incident happend with her mother in law and she is free, maybe they should just stop sleeping with the children.

Losing a child has to be hard enough....my only question is if it happened to the mother in law too, are you saying 3 children died between the two of them???

Regardless of whether she is a nice woman, she is still responsible for the deaths of two babies. She should be held accountable for it. If life is so hard that she drinks while around her children, she should find a sitter, or family member to take care of them until she is sober and ready. I do not in any way feel bad for her. She should get herself ready to deal with the consequences. She should expect people who are responsible parents to be angry about her irresponsibility. First, you should never sleep with a newborn, baby of any kind...but drunk? What did she expect to happen. How did blood end up coming from her nose? It baffles me. She should have given up her kids, or gotten fixed. Obviously the of having kids is difficult enough! So there it is...it is what it is. How sad it is that three children are dead...because of ignorance.

WOW, YOU JUST GOT LUCKY THAT YOURS DIDNT DIE. MAYBE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FATHER SEEING THAT 3 OF HIS GIRLS DIED EVEN THE ONE THAT HIS MOTHER SLEPT WITH, YET HIS SON IS STILL HERE. IM NEVER TAKING SIDES WITH HER I JUST KNOW HER AND KNOW HOW MUCH OF A HARD WORKER SHE IS, ITS NOT AGAINST THE LAW FOR HER TO GO OUT AND HAVE ADRINK OR TWO, IF YOU HAD 7 KIDS AND TOOK CARE OF THEM ALONE YOU WOULD GO AND HAVE A DRINK TOO...

Seriously concerned person. Co-sleeping is not something you should do if you're drunk. Seriously? Are you giving her an out because she has seven kids? If it's SO hard maybe she should be with the fathers, or maybe prevented herself from getting pregnant. I am sure you love the mother for some reason, I don't fault you there. But excusing her irresponsibility? I think in this case, others who have had similar result, or who successfully co-sleep....have no bearing on it. She is at fault for the death of her child, or children. She caused the death. Others who did the same will be punished, no doubt about it. It's not your concern. Like our parents told us. "take care of you, and your loved ones". Worry about your friend here who is in a world of hurt, and by all means should be. Stop trying to make her look good because you are only making her look worse by spreading her personal business on the internet!

The Caps Lock key is on the left of your keyboard.

She's a hard worker? What line of work is she in? Does it involve walking to the mailbox?
